New York's Kill List

Information about adoption available on link --

Please keep sharing our Death Row Dogs. They are out of time :( The shelter will officially open at 8am, but they start destroying at 6AM, so act now if you can adopt.

If you are a serious ADOPTER, and ONLY if you are able to go to the shelter in-person, please go to the NYC ACC website (http://www.nycacc.org/PublicAtRisk.htm) ASAP to reserve a PUBLIC list dog.

If the animal is NOT on the public adoption site (http://www.nycacc.org/PublicAtRisk.htm) you must reach out to a rescue to adopt/foster. More information, as well as a list of rescues, can be found here:https://www.facebook.com/Urgentdeathrowdogs/app_137541772984354
...
Along with the above (and not instead of) please email ADOPTION@NYCACC.ORG Again, only email if you are serious and can get to the shelter to adopt.

To rescue a death row dog, please read this: https://www.facebook.com/Urgentdeathrowdogs/app_137541772984354

Adopting a Dog From The “To Be Destroyed” Album: If you decide to adopt a dog that is on the “To Be Destroyed” list, you must act fast. Any dog on the list, can be destroyed the following morning. We try to post the list every night by 6PM. You then have 2 hours to call the shelter and advise of your intentions. After... 8, you must either have a rescue call, and place a hold, or YOU MUST CALL THE SHELTER THE NEXT MORNING BEFORE 8AM! Do not wait because I guarantee that the shelter will not wait either. Euth's begin at 6am. Call early! When calling the shelters, you will get a recording. Do not leave a message! They do not check those machines!! Hit 0 at the end of each message cycle and, eventually, someone will pick up. It may take 30 minutes, but they will answer. Do not give up, a life is depending on you!For more information on HOW TO ADOPT, please go to: https://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=405703306122877 For more information on fostering a dog, please contact your local rescue.LIST OF RESCUE WHO CAN PULL FROM NYCACC: http://www.urgentdeathrowdogs.org/how-you-can-help/how-togroup1/adopt.html ***RATINGS***GREEN animals are those animals who were relaxed, easy to handle, and who showed no concerning behavior during the exam.BLUE animals are those animals who were tense and nervous but mostly still and relatively easy to handle during the exam.YELLOW animals are those animals who were nervous, actively resisted examination, and required the use of restraint equipment or techniques, but did not exhibit aggressive behaviors during the exam.ORANGE animals are those who required the use of restraint techniques and/or equipment and did exhibited some "aggressive" behaviors during the exam.
