Too many animals left in shelters are euthanized.

Please consider shelters or rescue groups before adding a furry family member. Look for local groups first and consider petfinder and others that will facilitate a long distance adoption and transportation.

URGENT! NEEDS FOSTER/RESCUE! CLEVELAND, OH! He has until tomorrow to find a rescue!!! Briggs is only 2-3 years old. Briggs has a calm and mellow temperament. He is quiet and seemed to have no interest in toys. Briggs gives kisses whenever he's around you. He is emaciated. Briggs was tolerant of puppy play, but would probably do best in a home with other low-energy dogs. He appears to be housebroken. I can not believe that this baby is still at the pound waiting for someone to step up and save her life. This girl is just precious! The pound writes: "Pepper" (formerly known as "Kelly") is a cute adult female Terrier mix who arrived at the HSOV on May 19, 2013 after she was picked up on Lang's Farm Road by the Washington County Dog Warden. This little girl was very frightened for the first few days in our shelter and really didn't want to leave the security of her cage. She is gradually learning to trust some of our shelter staff "Pepper" is now enjoying a temporary home in our shelter manager's office, and we were happy to take some updated photos while she was outdoors with our Humane Officer on June 1st. "Pepper" has a black long wiry coat, a long tail, and a darling face beneath the wispy hair. Her coat was badly matted when she was brought to the shelter, and our kennel techs have been giving her a bit of a summer haircut. She is missing some hair on her tail section at the moment but will one day look like a little showdog. "Pepper" is a fairly small girl and weighs ~25 lbs." This shelter is extremely rescue friendly
