EXPENDITURES: The Worcester Telegram & Gazette looks into the expenses of state lawmakers' campaigns accounts and finds plenty of items that might be difficult to explain to the outside world. Some of the "campaign expenditures" include airline tickets, gifts for supporters, pricey hotels and meat. Just straight up grill meat. FOR SALE: And speaking of the T&G, it looks like Globe owner John Henry is getting ready to unload the paper. The potential buyer is unclear, though the Boston Business Journal says "speculation is ripe" that it could be Gatehouse Media which now owns the Cape Cod Times and most of the weeklies on Cape Cod as well.
