Nero is doing amazing, he is a happy little puppy and although he may be deformed physically because of this act of cruelty, he doesn't know it and it hasn't stopped him from doing what puppies do. The main issue that Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society is dealing with now is his eye lids, which do not close properly. He has a specialist appointment on Tuesday and it will determine what steps we need to take next, but it will likely involve some sort of surgery to repair them. He even has his own Facebook page! The burns destroyed the majority of both his ears, but his vision fortunately seems to be intact (his eyelids, however, are so damaged by the fire that he can't fully close his eyes, and thus requires eyedrops to be administered every couple hours).

Sabrina still has a long was to go, but she is making wonderful progress! As you can see from the photo, the swelling in her face has gone down quite a bit. She is opening her eyes very slightly, but it appears that the light is difficult for her to handle. This does mean, though, that she may be able to see something. Her eyes will be reevaluated in just under 2 weeks so that we may determine if and how much Sabrina will be able to see again.

Sabrina has been a sweet girl since she first came into The Arrow Fund, but she has recently started to actively seek out attention and affection! She is learning what it feels like to be loved, and the rescue organization loves helping her through this learning process! It will take some time, but this girl will learn how to trust again!

Please don't forget our Feline friends they need our help GASSING FACILITY---- Louie needs our help- this little guy is an owner surrender- his "people" informed the facility that he does well with children but it's best to not have him around small children and that he "urinates" in the house.... True or not true--- I tend to err on the side of the cats and believe about 1/10th of what "humans" say when they are surrendering - simply because most times folks like to make THEMSELVES feel better about relinquishing.... Either way--- LOUIE NEEDS HELP and he needs help NOW----- Please share him-
