This....and...that.....

Last night during our meeting with President Obama, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus told the President we will fight for the rights of these children under the law and a lot of other Democrats will stand with us. As a great nation we must set an example for others when it comes to the rule of law and the generosity of our people.

I'm pissed at the congress that passes the corporate subsidies

"... starting up the casino industry in Massachusetts feels like starting up Wang Laboratories in the age of Google." ~ Joan Vennochi, of The Boston Globe

The biggest divide in the world today is not religion or politics. It’s between people who care and people who don’t care. ~Eileen Hutchison

The American form of democracy was created not just by individual initiative. If you look at it from a historic prospective the government giving land to early homesteaders could be considered socialism, what about the GI Bill after world war 2 that's gave education and cheap real estate loans to veterans that created the late great middle class, socialism? Then there's social security, Medicare, Medicaid and veterans benefits to think about. The true American form of capitalism was a hybrid of capitalism and socialism with the roll of government charged with doing things individuals were incapable of doing alone countries that aspired to extreme forms of capitalism like Italy and Germany prior to world war 2 quickly turned into fascist dictatorships. The conservatives push in America over the last few decades have begun a trend away from American democracy because the more extreme the form of capitalism the less room there is for individual democracy. Studies are showing we are currently no longer living in a democracy because the 10 corporations that control most of what Americans purchase actually have more influence in government than all of the U.S population. Emigrants have been responsible for many of the small businesses that had previously produced jobs in America. Jobs and wages have not been reduced because of emigrants as some seem deluded into thinking, it has been eviscerated because of conservative legislation allowing businesses to consolidate promoting less competition and less need for employees. Conservative bills allowed off shoring and actually gave companies tax breaks to ship jobs overseas. Extreme capitalism pushed by Republicans has been responsible for the nullification of the late great American dream while much of the population remains distracted concentrating on nonsense and voting against their and America's Best interests. They say the best way to control and profiteer from a population is to keep them distracted while obtaining your real objectives. the few corporations that control our country have socialized their losses with taxpayer dollars while pushing extreme capitalism and austerity for everyone else.

Yep. Thanks to Bernie Sanders!

Don't worry, they'll still find a way to pin it on Obama.
