All of what we are seeing right now around race in this country is the fact that finally the white racist bigots are being marginalized and more and more black people and Latino people Asian people gay people coming out of the closet...are filling up our country..... they are scared to death of being the minority but there is no stopping it within the next 30 years this country is going to be majority "other"..... they don't realize they can't stop the snowball from rolling down the hill they are becoming the extinct minority
I love how when whites are told to get beyond the Civil War they talk about it being their history and their heritage etc. etc.
but those same people turn around and tell black people .... slavery was how many years ago ???? Forget about it already ...get over it

And that confederate flag they hold do dear is a symbol. It should be in our history books and we should be teaching our children the true history of what happened back then not some sugarcoated history written by some person in Texas trying to talk about how wonderful the south was and how the Northern aggression was what started the war which is the false narrative.

A - The Confederate flag was never a national flag. The stars and bars was a regimental flag, specifically the Battle Flag of the Army of Northern Virginia. Flying it is tantamount to flying the standard of the Waffen SS or for that matter ISIS.
B - The Confederate flag is a symbol of a vanquished foe. The war is over. The Confederacy sued for peace because it was beaten. The outcome was not close.
C - The Confederate flag is offensive to anyone who believes in the American way. The Confederacy stood not only for slavery, but rape, torture and pedophilia, as underage women were subject to the unwanted advances of their masters. But perhaps most despicably, slave owners often sold their own, slave-born children away to avoid the ire of their wives. The flag is thus a patent symbol of cowardly inhumanity.
The Confederate flag should certainly hold a place as an historical artifact, but when you stand for the flying of the Confederate flag in an official context, you stand for the items listed above.
