A Place to Bark!

Please celebrate and support the HEROES!

ADOPT! Don't buy!

And YES!

SPAY & NEUTER!

There is NO EXCUSE FOR UNWANTED LITTERS!

I never know, what my days will be like...
Everyday is something new, never ending calls/pleas to help animals in need.
Without you, these rescues could not happen.
Every Life Saved, is because of the donations given, to Save the Lives of these homeless pets.
On this day, I received a call from animal control. A puppy was abandoned in the parking lot of animal control & brought in by a person coming in. The director syringe fed it, kept it in her office & the vet hydrated/stabilized the pup.
I ran down & brought it to my vet. The puppy has hydrocephalus, double open fontanels & is blind.
Prognosis is poor & these cases rarely live long.
We will see what the day brings...
Send this precious dog some well wishes & prayers.
This link explains what hydrocephalus is if you have never heard of it:http://www.vcahospitals.com/…/hydrocephalus-in-toy-bre…/6838
On the other end of town, I received a call, to take a litter of 11 puppies in & an offer of a foster. Which is great, because we are full at our shelter. Arranged to have them vaccinated & dewormed, everything went great, but one of the puppies had a prolapsed rectum.
So surgery was arranged & puppy is doing well.
Then another call, a mom & 7 puppies with another offer of foster. So they will be seen & vetted today at my vet.
All I can say, is PLeEeasSeee SPAY & Neuter!!!
No more homeless puppies...
Makes me so sad😞
So many, many dogs that are born into this world homeless. Many Thanks to the wonderful ladies willing to foster these pups till we have space.
Donations are needed for so many, entering our program & the ongoing medical expenses.
