Owesley County Kentucky: highest rate of FOOD STAMPS in the nation, 99/22% WHITE, 95% REPUBLICAN

RSN offered an article about poverty in the South.

A good argument might be made that had the South stopped fighting the Civil War a century ago and focused instead on education rather than racism, the North wouldn't still be supporting them.

REAL Leaders are those that focus on improving the future, not fighting to retain the KKK and the Confederate Flag.

Republicans spend so much time demonizing the poor but seem oblivious to the fact that the vast majority of the people requiring public assistance live in conservative controlled red states. The uncomfortable fact is that the misinformed republican base are the actual takers they've been complaining about but they continue to try to blame all the problems on others. Science calls this transference and it gives further credence to their self proclaimed title, the party of stupid .
