Americans for Financial Reform: Make Postal Banking a Reality

This is a No-Brainer!

Please add your name!

Americans for Financial Reform

We need your help.
Did you know that nearly 28% of U.S. households are underserved by traditional banks, and too often have to turn to overpriced or abusive alternatives, spending nearly 10% of their income on fees and services?
The USPS can act without any action from Congress to:
  • Install surcharge-free ATMs that make it possible for recipients of public benefits to access funds without paying a fee;
  • Expand services to include payroll check cashing; and
  • Provide bill paying and electronic funds transfers.
For those without access to traditional banks as well as those looking for an alternative to the Big Banks, postal banking is a real solution that serves the public, not Wall Street.

Thanks for all you do to help defend Main Street!
Sincerely,
Lisa Donner
Americans for Financial Reform

Here at Americans for Financial Reform, we work day in and day out to make sure the big banks don't always get the last word – with the press, with regulators, and with legislators. We try to shine a spotlight on key decisions facing the bank oversight agencies and lawmakers, so more people can see what they’re doing and hold them accountable.  And we work to build a chorus for reform, to push policymakers in the legislative and executive branches to stand up to Wall Street and adopt and enforce tough new rules.  Anything you can do to help – by signing petitions, donating money to our efforts, or speaking out in any other way – puts more wind in our sails and makes a real difference.
Thanks!
