Think about it.
Please don't believe that's the sole problem.
1. The US has Corporate Media PROPAGANDA Machines and Fox News = Fakes News that brainwash and misinform.
2. US elections are RIGGED and voters are disenfranchised with Jim Crow Laws, voter purges, ID laws, shortening polling hours, relocating polling places, failing to provide adequate parking or access, voter intimidation, bogus electronic voting machines and a multitude of other fraudulent election tactics.
3. Dumbing down Americans because of under-funding, racial inequality, poverty and a multitude of other factors has created malleable masses that have no realistic concept about the function of government, nor are they capable of comprehending FASCISM because they have never been taught about history.
If most folks had a decent education, they wouldn't believe the bogus television commercials.
4. Income inequality and economic insecurity create a climate that's receptive to HATE.
Think about how Hitler successfully manipulated Germans.
When Germany was overburdened with War Reparations that impoverished the nation, folks readily accepted 'It's the fault of the Jews!'
Much the same may be said of the US today and Donald Trump's manipulation.
"You don't have a job because of ....."
If you can target a group that is easily recognizable from you, it's easier - a different skin color, a different garb, you get the point.
Karl Rove is a great student of History - so should we all be.
