Four Pinocchios

That’s what The Washington Post gave the Obama administration for claiming that the TPP would create 650,000 jobs.  

Four Pinocchios is bad.  When Donald Trump said Hillary started the birther movement, he got four Pinocchios, as did and Ted Cruz when he declared ‘the overwhelming majority of violent criminals are Democrats.’

TPP, like NAFTA, will be a disaster for jobs.  Yet many in the White House and the GOP Congress are pushing for ratification in the lame duck session after the election.

The only way to stop this to force members of Congress to take a public position against ratification before the election.

Campaign for America’s Future has fought the TPP from the beginning.  We’ve come a long way.  All three Presidential candidates are now on the record against the TPP.  But this won’t stop a lame duck effort to ram it through.
