Saudi-Owned Paper Claims U.S. Government 'Planned and Carried Out' 9/11 Terrorist Attacks - MEMRI| 21 May 2016 | The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) has translated an Al-Hayat articlethat claims the U.S. government "planned and carried out" the terrorist attacks of 9/11. Al-Hayat, based in London, is owned by Saudi Prince Khalid bin Sultan -- a member of the Saudi royal family. The MEMRI-translated article was originally published on April 28, under the byline of Saudi legal expert Katib Al-Shammari. The U.S. Senate passed JASTA on May 17, and the bill is now under review by the House Judiciary Committee...Americans remain divided over who they believe is responsible for the 9/11 attacks, and Al-Shammari is advancing a controversial, yet ongoing [and accurate] belief among people across the world.
