“Not a serious candidate”

Henry Cuellar is not taking our democracy, and his role in it, seriously.

Since June, Jessica Cisneros has generated a ton of momentum in Texas’ 28th district. Her campaign recruited hundreds of volunteers, raised hundreds of thousands of dollars, and challenged Henry Cuellar to a series of public debates.

But now Henry Cuellar refuses to debate.

Why? He says Jessica is not a “serious candidate."

We’ve seen these tactics before (*cough* Joe Crowley *cough*). It must mean they’re scared! Let’s send them a message about how “serious” Jessica’s campaign is today by raising as much as we can today for her grassroots campaign.

Cuellar’s only tactic in this primary is to attack Jessica’s credibility, because he knows he’ll lose if this race becomes about policy.

Cuellar is one of the last NRA Democrats with an “A” record. He’s used corporate money to fund attack ads against the Green New Deal. He’s voted with Donald Trump nearly 70% of the time.
