The Philadelphia DA’s Office Has Just Hired Its First Artist in Residence. He Previously Spent 27 Years in Prison for Murder





IMPRESSIVE! District Attorneys are important positions to implement change that's needed.
Larry Krasner has become the outspoken voice for change in the system that we all know is broken.
In Boston, Rachel Rollins is becoming that voice.
"...She proposed the idea of setting this first-in-the-country program in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office because Larry Krasner, who became the district attorney there in 2018, has been an advocate for “shrinking the criminal justice system, ending the death penalty, [and] reexamining previous convictions and decades-long sentences.” ..."
This is how we do it ... he served his time, and now he is an artist in residence in the DA's office.
The first-of-its-kind initiative, funded by Art for Justice, aims to help bring creative thinking into the criminal justice system.
