RATS Not Forgotten!

Although the Southbridge Dump might seem forgotten, the RATS (Residents for Alternatives to Trashing Southbridge, that is!) are active, thriving and as opposed to being trashed as ever!
.
Speak Out Southbridge is informative and worth the review.
.
Massachusetts might choose to maintain its false image of pristine environmental policies, but this Administration seems hell bent on destroying the last vestiges of the myth, concealed behind green propaganda. Remember that an incinerator to your west rains down its pollution to the east or you get to inhale it. This shouldn't be an issue solely restricted to its immediate vicinity. Scientists are beginning to recognize the import of nano particles and their synergy with other environmental chemicals with which we are bombarded.

A co-mingling of interests intertwined when retired Middleboro Town Manager, Jack Healey, Crusader for the Middleboro Mega Monster Bingo Parlor became Southbridge's Interim Crusader for the Southbridge Mega Monster Casella Landfill.

Coincidentally, this same area of the state is confronting the identical threat posed by Predatory Gambling due to the Fools Gold of a proposed casino.

.

Jack Healey does seem to spawn an eruption of grassroots activism and participation in his wake! Thanks, Jack, for waking up voters however unintentionally.
