Just how stupid are we?

Let me see if I get this straight....

it's OK to squander the Budget Surplus President Clinton left to provide Tax Cuts to the Wealthy....[wonder when that Trickle Down will create jobs?]

it's OK to grab the Social Security surplus to fund a War fought on false information....

and it's OK to refuse to raise taxes on Big Corporations that not only pay NO TAXES, but in some cases actually receive your tax dollars back....

it's OK to deny children health care and to deny Americans medical care.....

and it's OK to deny children Food Stamps and SLASH School Food Programs....

somehow it's not OK to STOP SUBSIDIZING Big Oil?

If we think Big Government is the problem, maybe our priorities are skewed.

It's time to stop Corporate Welfare! Let's start with Big Oil!

As lawmakers try to avoid driving the country over yet another fiscal cliff, they're debating millions of dollars in cuts to important programs. However, there's one massive government handout that is not yet on the table -- the more than $10 billion in annual subsidies to Big Oil.

Subsidizing the oil industry is like giving Bill Gates a free computer. Even worse, makes all of us investors in a business that made more than $100 billion in profit last year, while at the same time causing global warming, oil spills, and many other dire environmental impacts.

There's no way for Big Oil to make these ridiculous profits without destroying our planet. And there's no reason taxpayers like you and me should have to support them while they do.

Take Action
