Please sign our petition denouncing the U.S. House for cutting food stamps by $8.7 billion—and urge the Democratically-controlled Senate to hold the line against cuts. By a vote of 251-166, the U.S. House passed a Farm Bill that was made behind closed doors, giving huge subsidies to agribusiness—while cutting food stamps by over $8 billion. These cuts will impact 2,000,000 Americans. The Farm Bill now goes to the Democratically-controlled U.S. Senate—where it faces a vote later this week.
