Turkish parliament passes draconian internet control legislation
Despite vociferous opposition from civil society groups, Turkey's parliament adopted a new internet censorship bill yesterday, which was roundly criticized as an assault on freedom of expression, access to information, and investigative journalism.

In taste of what the internet will look like without net neutrality, it appears Verizon is deliberately slowing down some traffic, including Netflix streaming. Thanks to a court ruling knocking out net neutrality rules, it has no legal reason not to.
