Don't count on a fast in-and-out!
Not all windows are open, the 'information' person no longer handles simple transactions.....
This was sent to the RMV [now DOT]:
What's going on? Waits are endless - hours long. Not all windows are staffed. Simple things, like turning in plates that used to be handled by the 'information' person at the desk now require lengthy waits. Others are sharing similar complaints.
This was the disappointing reply:

If you have the misfortune of being forced to transact business at the Registry, pack a lunch....a Big One!
....don't go within 3 hours of closing or they'll send you home at closing time.
This is far worse than the 'Bad Old Days'!
We seem to have promoted another incompetent political hack to a position of authority!
