“Money from Koch interests flows to governor candidate Greg Abbott”
-- Dallas Morning News, 7/1/2014

This interesting little tidbit came through the Dallas Morning News last week:

“Greg Abbott received a $25,000 contribution from...Chase Koch, is the son of one of the billionaire brothers atop Koch Industries’ politically influential business empire.”

If the Koch name sounds familiar, it’s because this family is attempting a hostile takeover of American politics. The elder Kochs have pledged to raise $290 million to spend on political activities in 2014. They want to elect officials at all levels that will back their radical, insider agenda.

And apparently, they’re bulldozing their way into Texas, too.

Abbott’s insider friends have a long reach and deep pockets. We need to help Wendy fight back with $350,000 in July. Contribute $5 or more to help.

Greg Abbott will do whatever he can to protect his political donors. For example -- Abbott refuses to reveal the locations of dangerous chemical stockpiles, at least one of which is owned by Chase Koch’s company.

We know that Greg Abbott just dropped $10 million on ad reservations for the fall. Now we know that he’s got Koch money padding his war chest.

If there was ever a time to gear up, it’s right now.

Help us jump start our fundraising in July. Give $5 or more toward our $350,000 goal.

Abbott may have a Koch on his side -- but Wendy’s got all of you.

In the end, that’s what counts.

Thanks!

Elizabeth
