confusionist — has stepped down from his role as a contributor at Nate Silver’s
FiveThirtyEight.
FiveThirtyEight prides itself on its accurate reporting, and it
was immediately clear that Pielke had no place there. In his
first piece on FiveThirtyEight, Pielke denied the link between climate change
and severe weather, flying in the face of established science.
Our campaign against Pielke’s misinformation
drew a storm of media attention, and as the pressure mounted, Pielke
finally announced that he would no longer be contributing to FiveThirtyEight
(and he cited our campaign as a big reason behind his decision).
