Guv Baker is proposing yet more Republican 'Government By Committee' to protect himself and conceal his losing position.
Washington Republicans slashed funding for Public Transportation, slash funding for Amtrak after a catastrophic accident.
The City of Boston is mostly driver UNFRIENDLY and whoever had the Brain Fart to bring the Olympics to Boston and gathered enough support at least deserves the Booby Prize....
It's time to re-think our Transportation Policy, but not in the Tea Party Mode.

Bad Timing, Mayoral Re-election Bid Style
Springfield Mayor Domenic J. Sarno kicked off his re-election bid Monday, saying public safety remains his top priority as he seeks a fourth straight term. Just as Sarno was delivering his kickoff speech, which included a look back at the 19 percent reduction in crime between 2013 and 2014, a man was shot in the head in the city's Lower Liberty Heights section, MassLIve reports. Sarno said he plans to add 58 more officers to the city's police department. - http://bit.ly/1EUIi1U
Findings of MBTA panel called into question
The report by a panel of experts convened by Gov. Charlie Baker, which has been the fuel driving a push for widespread reform at the MBTA includes faulty logic, appears to overstate the problem of absenteeism and "omits some important context," the Globe reports. For instance, the report failed to distinguish between unscheduled and scheduled absences-such as vacations, which in turn inflated the report's findings on how absenteeism impact riders. The administration was quick to defend the report,. USOC Member: LA ready if Boston 2024 falters
Los Angeles is ready to pick up the 2024 Summer Olympics bid should Boston fumble before the next deadline in September, a member of the U.S. Olympic Committee told the Boston City Council, according to the Herald. "There's no guarantee that Boston will be the city in September," U.S. Olympic Committee member Angela Ruggiero said. Mayor Marty Walsh has acknowledged hearing LA grumblings, but Boston 2024 CEO Richard Davey dismissed the notion of a switch in bid cities, the tabloid said. http://bit.ly/1JvRdxb
