Citizens United, Jeb Bush admits LIES, Support for Iran Agreement GROWING, Dirty Peabody Coal, Speak up for Laney

Laney was found completely emaciated and covered in cuts and abrasions. She's only about a year old, but in horrible shape. The shelter is not sure if she was used for bait or what happened, but life has not been kind to this sweet, shy girl.

This Sunday, thousands of right-wing Christian pastors will preach this sermon provided to them by Ted Cruz. Preaching politics again. Time to tax them.

There is one thing that, when you consider the facts, cannot be honestly disputed: America has a gun violence problem. In a piece for the New York Times,...

We need to transition Nebraska off using dirty coal for 70%+ of our electricity.

"There’s an epidemic of autism in Silicon Valley. Something terrible is happening to our children", Steve Silberman wrote in 2001. Now, he's changed his mind and wants greater understanding and acceptance of autism.

Steve (modestly) writes:
"Brilliant piece in the Guardian this morning about ‪#‎NeuroTribes‬. I've gotten a lot of good press, but this is one of the most in-depth, with great pictures too. Very happy about this piece. Please pass it around if you feel like it. And at least there's one handsome guy in the pics -- Leo!"
Fifteen years ago, when Steve Silberman broke the story of Silicon Valley’s autism ‘epidemic’, he saw it as a problem. Now he’s changed his mind and has published a book about understanding and accepting autism spectrum disorders

1) Republicans are purposely sabotaging our government
2) Republicans want our country to fail
3) Conservatives are always on the wrong side of history
4) Nine of our last ten economic recessions occurred while a Republican was in the White House
5) The Republican party is owned by big oil
6) The truth about Ronald Reagan is very different from the lies Republicans tell about him
7) Tax rates have almost nothing to do with job creation or wages
The Republican party doesn't even try to hide their true intentions. They just know that critical thinking isn't a strong point for the typical conservative voter. So it's...

We have some very important issues to discuss. For us to not seriously vet each of our Democratic candidates does a disservice to the Democratic Party and the entire nation!!! There is too much at stake to not seriously consider the records and policies of each of our candidates and make an informed decision based on who will do right by America & humanity!!! We cannot afford to nominate those who will turn around and do the opposite of what they promised! We need a candidate with impeccable integrity and the courage and conviction to do what is right for working class Americans and not just the wealthy elitists pumping money into their campaigns! We need Senator Bernie Sanders and we needed him several decades ago! We can't afford to mess this up and choose another political establishment puppet who makes empty promises while lacking a clear and consistent record to back up their rhetoric!!!

"Increasingly, businesses need only a relatively small pool of “talent” anchored in the enterprise – innovators and strategists responsible for the firm’s unique competitive strength.
Everyone else is becoming fungible, sought only for their reliability and low cost.
Complex algorithms can now determine who’s needed to do what and when, and then measure the quality of what’s produced. Reliability can be measured in experience ratings. Software can seamlessly handle all transactions – contracts, billing, payments, taxes.
All this allows businesses to be highly nimble – immediately responsive to changes in consumer preferences, overall demand, and technologies.
While shifting all the risks of such changes to workers.
Whether we’re software programmers, journalists, Uber drivers, stenographers, child care workers, TaskRabbits, beauticians, plumbers, Airbnb’rs, adjunct professors, or contract nurses – increasingly, we’re on our own. "

In this clip, Sen. Bernie Sanders says he believes “one of the Supreme Court’s worst decisions ever” — Citizens United — has allowed big money to “deflect attention from the real issues” facing voters.
While Sanders recognizes these as “important issues,” many critical problems facing Americans are not being reported on, including income inequality, the eroding middle class and climate change. And the media won't let him talk about it.
The independent Senator from Vermont tells Bill that big money and big media are keeping critical issues from the American public.
