The Emporium: Joseph S. Maniglia 1945 ∼ 2015

Joseph S. Maniglia

WAREHAM – Joseph S. Maniglia, 70, of Onset, died May 3, 2015 in Tobey Hospital. He was the husband of Linda M. (DiNatale) Maniglia and the son of the late Angelo and Marie (Forcina) Maniglia.
He was born in Cambridge and lived in Somerville before moving to Wareham 38 years ago. He graduated from Somerville High School, Babson College and Boston State College.
He served in the Massachusetts National Guard.
Mr. Maniglia owned and operated The Emporium Antique Store in Middleboro. Previously he operated The Groggery in Onset for many years. He had also been a teacher at Shawsheen Regional Technical High School in Billerica.
Mr. Maniglia coached youth hockey and baseball throughout the area for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Linda M. (DiNatale) Maniglia; 2 sons, Joseph Maniglia and his wife Jocelyn of Wareham and Frank Maniglia and his wife Meghan of Wareham; 4 grandchildren, Dana, Sophia, Frank and Ana Maniglia. He was the brother of the late Frank Maniglia.
His funeral will be held at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2015 from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham.
Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
Visiting hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
