It Takes A Special Kind of Stupid to be a Modern Day Republican, Conspiracy Theorists and the Implosion of the Republican Party....et al

Let's work to get Bernie Sanders elected with a SANE Congress capable of GOVERNING!

In case of Cabin Fever, please amuse yourselves with the Wack-A-Dings convinced of Fairy Tales....while many are surprised that Scalia actually had a HEART!
It seems unjust that Scalia 'died peacefully' in his sleep while his victims, including the animals he killed would have gleefully pounded a stake through his heart.
Was this Texas ranch, Cibolo Creek Ranch,  one that offers 'canned hunts'?
Because of Jade Helm, we know Obama has taken over TEXAS....if there a LINK? Was Dick Cheney hunting with him that day?
More from the Looney Tune Fringe. This is the right-wing hater base, by the way, that is being channeled by the GOP presidential candidates.

It Takes A Special Kind of Stupid to be a Modern Day Republican

February 15, 2016
By Allen Clifton

Once upon a time, the GOP was actually a great party. This was the party of Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt and Dwight Eisenhower – some of our nation’s greatest presidents. However, these are also men who could never be modern day Republicans. Hell, “conservative icon” Ronald Reagan probably couldn’t survive a GOP primary right now. Could you imagine someone who negotiated with Iran; raised taxes; passed amnesty for illegal immigrants; and spoke out against the private ownership of assault weapons being someone who could win this Republican primary?

Once upon a time, the GOP was actually a great

Let’s just think about this. The Republican party has gone from great men like Lincoln, Roosevelt and Eisenhower – to a 69-year-old man-child who throws hissy fits in public, Donald Trump. But with today’s Republicans, you really do have to be a special kind of stupid to believe the nonsense that the party sells their supporters. How many different conspiracies need to not come true before these people think to themselves, “Wait, so another talking point didn’t happen. Maybe they’re lying to me”? For years they said “Obamacare” was going to kill job creation – it hasn’t. In fact, we’ve seen the longest stretch of private sector job growth in our nation’s history. And don’t even give me any nonsense about wages. Income inequality has been an issue for the last 36 years. This isn’t something that magically began when President Obama was elected. In fact, some of the worst years for income inequality we’ve seen since before the Great Depression happened the years prior to the Great Recession – during the Bush administration. Not only that, but whatever happened to those “death panels”? Oh, yeah, that was another Republican lie. And I’m not even going to get into the ridiculous nonsense surrounding Obama’s citizenship or religion. Considering he’s proven, undoubtedly, that he’s a Christian American – many Republicans still aren’t sure if his presidency is legitimate and believe he’s a Muslim. Because as I’ve pointed out before, it doesn’t really matter what the actual truth is – modern day Republicans simply believe whatever the heck they want to believe. Then there’s the constant barrage of lies about Hillary Clinton. First it was Benghazi and how she was going to be in prison because of that. Of course, that has never – and will never – happen. But you don’t have to believe me, just ask the Republicans who’ve already investigated this and found no wrongdoing by the former Secretary of State. Now because Benghazi failed to gain the traction they wanted to take her down, the new thing they’re pushing is this email nonsense. Again, that’s not going to lead to any sort of indictment of Hillary Clinton – even though the conservative media has claimed for months that “anonymous sources” say an indictment is “imminent.” Republicans are just throwing that out there because they know their supporters are dumb enough to believe it.

Not only that, but if Clinton is headed to prison for her private email server, then Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice really should be right behind her considering they also handled retroactively classified information on a private server. You really have to be rather ignorant to think Clinton would be sent to prison for this even if she were found “guilty” of something. I would like to point out that former General David Petraeus knowingly gave a former mistress and biographer classified information, and was found guilty of mishandling classified materials. He was charged with a misdemeanor. Then there’s always gas prices. Remember a couple of years ago when they creeped up toward $4 nationally and Republicans were falling all over themselves to blame President Obama? Funny, now that we’re seeing the lowest gas prices we’ve seen in over a decade – I don’t see them thanking President Obama for that. Then again, a president really doesn’t have much to do with gas prices. But it is rather ridiculous to blame him for high gas prices when you’re not going to also “blame” him when they’re low. Then there’s the war on terror. Amazing that the president whose decisions in Afghanistan led to him ordering the killing of Osama bin Ladin can somehow be labeled the “one who’s made us less safe” – while people like Marco Rubio will say that the president in office during the worst terrorist attack in our nation’s history “kept us safe.” To say nothing about how George W. Bush’s Iraq War completely destabilized the Middle East – now they’re trying to blame that, too, on President Obama since he “pulled troops out of Iraq.” Meanwhile, reality tells us that all he did was enforce the SOFA agreement Bush signed in 2008 that set the deadline for when all U.S. troops had to leave. Fun Fact: Dick Cheney called the removal of all U.S. troops from Iraq a “sign of success” and praised it at the time. Again, tell me how something Dick Cheney praised that was signed by Bush… is somehow President Obama’s fault. Republicans tell lie after lie after lie, with practically none of them coming true, and Republican voters never seem to realize that they’re being lied to and manipulated. Then again, in a rather odd phenomenon, these people seem to believe in a reality where all of these lies are true – even if there’s no credible evidence outside of right-wing blogs and memes to “prove” any of it. While I know there are sane, moderate Republicans still left out there, they really no longer have a party. Long gone are the days of Lincoln, Roosevelt and Eisenhower. Now it’s a party built on fear, hate, bigotry, racism, religious fanaticism and the myth of Ronald Reagan. It’s supported by people whose own politicians treat them like mindless idiots – and they absolutely love every minute of it.

This episode of NOW With Bill Moyers looked at the 75,000 synthetic chemicals and metals introduced in the US over the previous 70 years, and questioned whether they could be making our children sick. Most have never been tested for their toxic effects on children.

Cruz ineligible to be president.
Now we can toy with words all we want. But, that will not change what is written in our constitution. Natural Born Citizen means exactly what it states. Cruz is not a natural born citizen of this country b/c he was not naturally born here.
My sister went into labor while visiting Florida even though she is and was a native New Yorker, born and raised there. Her child's birth certificate is a Florida birth certificate. NOT a NY birth certificate. Even though she would have wanted it to be, it wasn't allowed. Cruz cannot change his birth certificate any more than my sister can change her sons. It is what it is!
Would swearing in Ted Cruz as president of the United States be a violation of the Constitution? Yes.
