The Huffington Post Will Now Add This Disclaimer To Every Article About Donald Trump

The Huffington Post Will Now Add This Disclaimer To Every Article About Donald Trump

If you pay close attention from now on when you read an article about Donald Trump posted byThe Huffington Post, you will no doubt spot a disclaimer they have decided to put at the bottom of each Trump piece:
Note to our readers: Donald Trump is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, birther and bully who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S.

Speaking only for myself, I love that! It reinforces what so many of us in the online media have been saying about Trump for months now. It’s succinct and to the point.
But what made Huff Post decide to add this note to their articles on the Donald? A spokesperson for Huffington Post remarked:
Yes, we’re planning to add this note to all future stories about Trump. No other candidate has called for banning 1.6 billion people from the country! If any other candidate makes such a proposal, we’ll append a note under pieces about them.
Sounds very fair. They aren’t just targeting Trump (though you can count on him claiming in whiny fashion that they are) or singling him out because he’s the GOP frontrunner.
Let’s consider that fact for a moment: Trump is the Republican frontrunner. Does this not tell us everything we’ve wondered about the GOP for some time now? They have been drifting further and further to the extreme right, and now they have their perfect Manchurian candidate: A man who is not afraid to say, out loud, the things so many Republicans think and feel but are too timid to say for fear of alienating voters.
Yet now the GOP seeks to push Trump aside because they are being painted with the same brush whenever he opens his big mouth. They say they’re offended. But I gotta call bullshit on that one.
All the GOP cares about is winning elections, no matter the tactics used. But now they are coming to the realization that Trump could cost them the White House yet again. So they have to try and pretend they want nothing to do with him. It’s as big a lie as the ones Trump is so fond of telling.
Here’s Donald explaining why he feels the ban on Muslims is so important to our national security:
