VoteVets.org: Let me explain

Please subscribe to and support VoteVets.org!

Let's stand together for our nation and stand with our Veterans!

VoteVets

In just a minute, I am about to ask you to make a contribution to VoteVets. I hope that you'll give me just a moment of your time to explain why this is such an important request.

We're only ten days into a Trump Administration and he has already made a number of decisions that have put our nation's security at risk. I am not saying this to be alarmist, nor am I being overly dramatic.

His Muslim ban alienates our allies in the war on terror and gives new life to ISIS.

His talk about bringing back secret detention sites and torture endangers our troops. And his decision to give an ideologue like Steve Bannon a seat at National Security Council meetings over the Joint Chiefs of Staff is very dangerous.

There is no more important voice in opposition to Donald Trump than our nation's veterans. And VoteVets is the only progressive organization capable of elevating their voices and cutting through the clutter.

We did it during the presidential election with Gold Star families and veterans scammed at Trump University, and we'll do it again throughout the Trump Administration. So here's where I ask:

Can I count on you to make a $10 contribution to VoteVets before tomorrow night's critical end of month fundraising deadline as a way of saying you will do whatever you can to elevate the voices of veterans against Donald Trump?

Already VoteVets has organized almost 10,000 veterans against Trump's Muslim Ban. We've found thousands of federal employees who once wore our nation's uniform. And we've identified even more who receive VA care or use Obamacare for them or their families. These are all important fights ahead -- all where the voices of veterans matter. Your contribution supports that work.

All my best,

Major General (ret.) Paul Eaton
