VoteVets.org: Tell Trump: STOP detaining Muslim interpreters who helped our troops

Right now, there is at least one Iraqi man who aided the U.S. military as an interpreter and came here with his family being detained because of Donald Trump's executive order on refugees.

The idea that we would be detaining Iraqi interpreters who put their lives on the line to help troops like myself in Iraq is disgraceful. The thought that this is the result of Donald Trump's hateful, stupid, poorly constructed executive order is infuriating.

Not only does the executive order not do anything to protect America, but it now sends a message that even if you put your life on the line to help America, we don't want you here if you're a Muslim.

There's no better recruiting tool for ISIS, and we must make our voices heard.

Sign our petition calling on Donald Trump to not just rescind his executive order, but to make 100 percent sure that Muslim interpreters who helped our troops overseas are able to enter the United States.

This executive order hurts our support in fighting ISIS, and places even more of a burden on the U.S. military. It hurts our national security. Donald Trump should rescind it immediately.

All my best,
