VoteVets.org: Trump already hurting veterans

"We will take care of our great Veterans like they have never been taken care of before." - Donald Trump accepting the Republican nomination

President Trump has been in office less than one week, and here's what he's done for veterans:

1. Implemented a hiring freeze that will cost thousands of veterans jobs and keep at least 2,000 positions unfilled at the Department of Veterans Affairs.

2. He has talked about bringing back secret detention sites and torture, which only serves to help our enemies, recruit more terrorists, and endanger American troops.

3. He has put a stop to many refugees -- almost all women and children -- from coming to the United States from the Middle East. A move that alienates our allies in the War on Terror and usurps any goodwill we've built up.

It's been less than a week, but Donald Trump has been a disaster for veterans. We're ready to fight back, but we can't do it alone.

Make a $10 contribution to VoteVets to help us elevate the voices of veterans and military family members in the campaign to resist Donald Trump.

Throughout his entire campaign -- starting with his unfulfilled promise to contribute money to veterans' charities -- President Trump talked a big game about standing up for veterans. But in every turn, he's come up short.

There is no better or more important organization than VoteVets when it comes to challenging him on veterans issues and on matters of national security. That's why your contribution matters.

All my best
