"Two million blogs will do nothing !"

If you haven't figured out how slanted and censored the Corporate Media is, this highlights the issue.

They don't want to report the TRUTH about TOYOTA LEMONS!

Click on links to read articles in their entirety:

FROM: Beware of Toyota. Their next victim may be you......

Bloomberg blocks me from commenting

Interestingly enough, an anonymous effort to rebut a comment I published (11/8/2013 3:28:01 PM) tried to convince me (11/8/2013 3:54:47 PM) - "Two million blogs will do nothing !" - that blogging about Toyota wouldn't make any difference. Of course, I replied (11/8/2013 6:02:12 PM) that such activities do make a difference, which is why businesses - especially cover-up operations like Toyota - hire so-called "reputation management" companies to steer conversations, post fake reviews, etc. I referenced a recent court case involving a gang of corporate hirees gettin' sued for posting such garbage on Edmonds.com

From the beginning, the LEMON LADY has shared her TOYOTA LEMON experience and asked simply that others share their experiences and more importantly.....

DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY A TOYOTA!

Don't rely on internet sites such as dealerrater that have phony posters.

Check out NHTSA and Center for Auto Safety for what OWNERS are saying about the vehicles.

Links are here:

NHTSA: See Other Complaints

Center for Auto SafetyCOMPLAINTS

There are 103 complaints posted for TOYOTA BRAKES

Trust owners posting NEW TOYOTA PROBLEMS more than the rave reviews on phony web sites.

Each day, the LEMON LADY meets at least 2 people who haven't seen the ROUTE 44 TOYOTA SOLD ME A LEMON vehicles....

....and each day, local folks quietly step forward and inform the LEMON LADY that because of the BLOGS, FACEBOOK, SIGNS ON THE CAR/TRUCK......they didn't buy a LEMON TOYOTA....many never step forward......

People share...word spreads....consumers want to be informed.....the LEMON LADY is not the only LEMON TOYOTA owner with NO BRAKES!

TOYOTA: Did you think I would go away?

Running an errand to pick up bird seed, the cashier has never seen my 'advertising'!
[There's another INFORMED CONSUMER!]

Departing the store, young couple behind us, man said 'I like your advertising!'
[Another INFORMED CONSUMER!]

At a doctor's office, nurse says 'ya know, I've seen a car around town.....' [she raved about Copeland Toyota in Brockton!].

At a local building supply store, 2 young fellows [if they're under 50, they look young], smile and announce they've been on facebook.

Handouts have run out again because so many interested people have taken them while the LEMON LADY'S car or truck is parked.

The LEMON LADY can't keep up!

Did you hear this one.......

a young couple walking behind me into the local supermarket.....man says 'you know you're famous?'

Preoccupied with the mental grocery list, LEMON LADY turned around, 'excuse me?'

'You're famous! Your picture is all over facebook!'

somewhat unnerving since that was never the intent.....

The ex - MR. Toyota U.S.A ATTORNEY ......A/K/A The King of Conflict who cancelled, postponed, motioned, delayed ...pretends he is a puppet merely representing a Deep Pocketed client....

A friend pointed out the sexism that has been rampant in the legal proceedings.....is the rampant SEXISM emanating from TOYOTA U.S.A.?  from ROUTE 44 TOYOTA?

Either way.....the LEMON LADY has already won!

3900 people per hour view advertising on vehicles.

Although the LEMON LADY is aging fast and the DILLY, DALLY, DELAY, STALL & BILL 'EM BOYS are doing their best to drag this out......

intent on creating a Supreme Court case out of a LEMON TOYOTA.....

...remember...this is about a LEMON TOYOTA with NO BRAKES that other TOYOTA OWNERS have complained about.

Instead of FIXING PROBLEMS, TOYOTA U.S.A. denies PROBLEMS, blames the driver and leaves TOYOTA OWNERS stuck with TOYOTA LEMONS!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, Do your homework before you buy a TOYOTA!

Check these out:

Ssshhhh! Don't say anything! They're watching!

The disrespect shown by the TARDINESS of TOYOTA U.S.A. and ROUTE 44 TOYOTA counsels was posted, and they amended their disrespectful conduct!

It was noticeable that Mr. Toyota U.S.A. has had a haircut - not well done, but an improvement! [As someone who has a 'hair' issue wherein 'every day is a bad hair day,' yup! I noticed!]

Kinda like.....

Dear Toyota U.S.A.: More Temper Tantrums & Bullying & Sexism #4

Today's Court Event was in front of a female judge.....maybe Mr. Toyota U.S.A. doesn't experience much of that in Albany......

Mr. Toyota U.S.A., who previously kept addressing the LEMON LADY's Attorney by her first name and kept referring to the LEMON LADY's deposition as 'Ms. LEMON LADY'S ATTORNEY,'  referred to the LEMON LADY'S ATTORNEY in court as

SHE

NEVER ONCE DID MR. TOYOTA U.S.A. ADDRESS THE LEMON LADY'S ATTORNEY APPROPRIATELY!

Where do they get these CLOWNS  HIGHLY SKILLED ATTORNEYS from?

But....it gets better.....

MR. TOYOTA U.S.A. filed a LEGAL THINGEY.....a Notice and Affirmation or something.......failed to include a MOTION for the judge to rule on.

Then he argued with the judge that it was adequate [guess MR. TOYOTA U.S.A. believes all females are stupid, including a FEMALE JUDGE! ].....

Mr. Toyota U.S.A. screwed up so badly, the judge asked if he was licensed to practice in Massachusetts!  [This is the downside of reciprocity!]

LEMON LADY'S ATTORNEY has taken MR. TOYOTA U.S.A. aside prior to court, pointed it out.....and MR. TOYOTA U.S.A. disagreed!

LEMON LADY'S ATTORNEY offered an opportunity to withdraw and re-file, not to appear as a dunce.....

MR. TOYOTA U.S.A. refused........

The LEMON LADY noticed that MR. TOYOTA U.S.A. looked refreshed and unwrinkled in court.

MR. TOYOTA U.S.A.'s appearance led to the idle speculation that the recent punctual appearance was made possible by overnight stays at the wonderful accomodations in Plymouth where TOYOTA U.S.A. is hopefully contributing to the local economy.

Even more interesting was late last evening, MR. TOYOTA U.S.A. generated ANOTHER stack of paperwork for a LEGAL THINGEY......

MR. TOYOTA U.S.A. emailed the legal thingey and sent it OVERNIGHT!

The Court had NOT received it, was unable to address/discuss it!

The judge did admonish MR. TOYOTA U.S.A. to settle the matter.....stop wasting the court's time and filing MOTIONS.......

The LEMON LADY'S ATTORNEY offered several options.....

we all know that's not TOYOTA'S way....even when they've killed people.....besides....they have insurance policies......

What's notable is that my facebook page now has + 1,0000 'likes,' a few folks have shared their experiences and hopefully more will do so......

Recently, someone posted this on the facebook page of ROUTE 44 TOYOTA:

Too much negative publicity for me to purchase here.

Stayed tuned!

History Channel As Mouthpiece for Koch

Interesting observation!

Americans Against the Tea Party
If you're watching some of the garbage on the "history channel" you're putting money in the Koch's pocket - and the Tea Party's coffers.

Watch Evidence of the History Channel Being Nothing But a Mouthpiece for the Right Wing (VIDEOS)

Posted by: Richard Rowe

Pay close enough attention to commercials, and you can learn everything you need to know about anyone. Commercials can allow us to look into our web of ties to Corporate America, put its spiders on a single string and understand the loops they weave to catch the greediest of flies.

Lately, the Koch brothers (manifesting as Americans for Prosperity) have been tapping the sweet, retired, conservative oldness of the History Channel’s daytime demographics. During any particular episode of Pawn Stars, you might see an ad like this:

Yes, that’s one of the many ads that the History (and Military History) Channel play during daytime hours, and the web address given takes you here, to a page talking about the risk factors involved with the implementation of Obamacare. While claiming to “answer” questions about Obamacare (no “Affordable Care Act” crap here), the Koch Bros. website reads like a list of things that Bill “Harlem Jazz” Clinton would laugh at. Watch his defense of Obamacare here:

But give the Koch Brothers’ marketing people credit; its reach into the brains of History viewers is more deeply multilayered than you might think. In an epic example of political crossover, Pawn Stars Rick Harrison has become the latest darling adopted by the Corporatist Right; on June 21st, he popped his slightly bulbous head into Glen Beck’s holy of holies :

During the course of the interview, Harrison took the opportunity to go on recored complaining about Nevada’s zoning laws, and the fact that it would have cost him $400,000 to tear down a wall to expand his showroom into the warehouse. See, the Pawn Shop is in a Vegas historic district, which probably means that Frank Sinatra buried a hooker there. Like most places in historic districts, permits for demolition (particularly on load-bearing walls) are very difficult to obtain because they affect the resale value of the building. For someone who buys and sells history for a living, you’d think Rick Harrison would be a little more understanding.

Harrison also went off on a tear about a sexual predator who hadn’t been convicted in Utah. Though he might have mentioned that Utah’s violent crime and sexual assault rates per capita suddenly spiked by nearly a third higher in the ten years after private prison company MTC set up shop in 1980. But, where there’s money to be made, the spiders will spin webs.

And money is what it really comes down to, doesn’t it? You could take the cynical, ad hominem route and point out that of course, a person who bargains for the highest price, sells and resells other peoples’ valuables for a living, is naturally prone to centering his life around money. Then, there’s the “Vegas Effect” of greed and gambling. But, it takes more than location and predisposition to turn a businessman into a corporatist drone.

Rick Harrison has the same problem that most small business owners and medium-high income earners do in this country: small businesses and the kind-of wealthy do bear the greatest burden of taxes in this country: smaller companies can’t hire accountants to squeeze the company through every loophole in the book, so they wind up paying most of the full 39 percent ALL companies are supposed to pay.

Hysterical! Women's Health Indecent?

This deserves special Dishonorable Mention ......

Thu Jul 25, 2013 at 09:30 AM PDT

Clear Channel Pulls Ads for Women's Health Clinic, Claiming They Are "Indecent"

The South Wind Women's Center, a comprehensive women's health clinic located in Wichita, KS, recently ran two, short ads on a number of Clear Channel stations.

However, after running the ads, Clear Channel notified the clinic that they violated the company's "decency standards." (This clinic was re-established to provide "full-spectrum" reproductive care for women in the wake of the murder of Dr. Tiller.)

The ads were then pulled – you can listen to how innocuous they are here and here.

Keep in mind that Clear Channel is so desperate for advertising revenue, that it is accepting advertisements, particularly during Rush Limbaugh's show, for all sorts of unsavory outfits.
As Women, Action & the Media writes:
Clear Channel has booted them off the air for violating ”decency standards,” even though the same Clear Channel stations happily run ads for the local “adult boutique” and “male enhancement” products.
To be absolutely clear about the bombastic sexism and fear of lady parts – fueled by the religious right – that is required to boot such ads for violating "decency standards," just read the text for one of the ads:
At South Wind Women’s Center, our physicians are committed to providing quality reproductive healthcare in Wichita. Each physician is board-certified in family medicine or obstetrics in gynecology. Between them, they have over 50 years of experience and dedication, ensuring women are able to ensure the care they need when they need it.
Yes, women's health is indecent. But 'male enhancement' products and sex shops?
Not so much.

Author's Note:
You can sign a petition by the South Wind Women's Center, calling upon Clear Channel to run their ads, here.

Be informed

Carl's words are worth heeding --
The oligarchy in America and abroad are poised to spend billions of dollars manipulating people to vote for politicians they control. You know the old tactic, if someone keeps repeating the same thing over and over it matters not how far from the truth they go those that wish to be led will follow them. Remember large media organizations are corporate owned. The last time I checked less than 10 corporations control more than 90% of all you see and hear. In the early 2000's the courts sided with FOX News making it legal for Media to lie to the American people. I urge all patriotic Americans to take the time to find out who is funding the adds you will be barraged with in 2014 and who really benefits from their positions. Do you really think any large multi billion dollar corporation is interested in helping you? Is there anyone that thinks the Koch Brothers, Rupert Murdock or the owners of Papa john's, Walmart or Home Depot contribute millions because they are concerned with your interests? The best government that big money can buy is not a Democracy. Cherish your freedom and be vigilant because if you do nothing the power that was "we the people" will continue to be redistributed to the elite few.

Route 44 Toyota: Big Brother Award!

When you make the bad decision of purchasing a Toyota from Route 44 Toyota, the process is overbearing, to say the least.

Part of the offensive process is taking your picture next to your NEW Toyota, about which I balked.

Then they send you a crappy calendar....and use your photo as ADVERTISING without disclosure.

Perhaps more egregious is that they include your name on their facebook page...along with your license plate in some cases.

Just another example of Route 44 Toyota believing they are above the law in violating your rights to privacy.

Are they deliberately advertising locations of NEW cars to be targeted for theft?

I have friends who have been stalked. Do you?

These are among the many that appear on their facebook page --

Mr. Ricardo Carter is congratulated by his salesman Oyewale Dairo as he takes delivery of his newly purchased Toyota Rav4.

Hmmm what word would you chose?

I haven't filled the gas tank of my BRAND NEW TOYOTA since
May 2012!

The Costs of SLAPP Suits

The Boston Sunday Globe offered interesting commentary [below] about the hurt feelings of doctors as consumers post their experiences on the internet.

This closely resembles my experience with Route 44 Toyota and Toyota in refusing to correct or address the BRAKE FAILURE of my NEW Toyota Prius, denying their problem and forcing me to file a lawsuit, Attorney Dan Viera, representing Route 44 Toyota, threatened a SLAPP SUIT only after I posted my experience.

SLAPP is defined as:

Strategic lawsuit against public participation

A strategic lawsuit against public participation (SLAPP) is a lawsuit that is intended to censor, intimidate, and silence critics by burdening them with the cost of a legal defense until they abandon their criticism or opposition.[1]

After my Attorney provided the evidence Dilly Dally Dan demanded proving that Route 44 Toyota illegally accessed credit reports 3 TIMES, here's part of his weird response:

"I am not at liberty to discuss with you in detail why those claims are both false.

Route 44 Toyota did the same thing to this customer and in their arrogance, couldn't even have the courtesy to address it --

From: Ripoff Report:

I told the saleman I was in the banking business and dealt with over 100 dealers so that I wouldn't have to go through their demeaning sales tactics. They did not listen. I told the saleman and sales manager three times NOT to pull my credit as this was a cash deal. Without my written consent pulled my credit report with two different bureaus. I was outraged to find this out via my credit alert program I have.

When I tried to get some answers on why this was obtained, the finance manager said they had not pulled it. Then he said, "oh ya, I see it was pulled, but I don't know who did it." Assuring me he would get back to me and did not. I sent a registered letter to the owner of the dealership and the GM. Thus far, no return letter.

But I did receive a phone call back from the most arrogant man who tried in a VERY condoscending way to tell me it was because of OFAC they pulled my credit. I told him I was in banking/VP of Lending for 25 years before he went any further with his either lack of knowledge of the OFAC/credit reporting sytem or just down right arrogance. OFAC is pulled by financial institutions to cross check against a terrorist list before LENDING out money. There was no money being lent out in this transaction. As I explained this to the employee, he said "this conversation is over with". Not only was my transaction/experience with this dealer horrible I had my rights violated with having my credit pulled.

This dealership needs to know they cannot just do whatever they please for their own gain (they tried very hard to get me to finance the deal so they could make even more money) and must starting treating their customers like they have a brain.

What have we lost?

Watching parents sleeping on sidewalks awaiting store openings for the latest whatever, the best price, something the kids simply MUST have, climbing over or assaulting others to grab that item....is that Christmas?

Ralph Nader raises salient issues about our priorities and our inability to disconnect from technology and re-connect with each other.

When so many promote Family Values, have we forgotten what they are?

The Commercialization of the Family

By Ralph Nader, Reader Supported News
23 December 12

amily is the foundation of our American society. In many ways, the family unit is one of the last bastions of decency holding out against encroaching corporate commoditization -- the corporations can sell food, medicine, clothing, entertainment, even child and elder care, but they can't provide the love, selflessness and generosity that close family members can provide one another. But if there was a way to commercialize all those generational, biological bonds, you can be sure that profit-hungry companies and clever marketers would discover it. In the holiday season, thoughts about family abound. But the advertisements that dominate all forms of commercial media aren't about the benefits of family life, about how parents shape the character and personality of their children, about how turning off the screens and engaging in conversation is the cornerstone of human development.

Advertisements aimed at children are meant to tantalize and sell the latest toys, gadgets and video games -- many of which serve as electronic babysitters that feature violence and undermine parental authority.

Every holiday season, the commercial media relentlessly hype the big products of the season with "Holiday Shopping Guides" and "Hot Lists." These lists feature toys and gadgets that are, inevitably, in "extremely limited quantities," forcing parents to battle it out at early morning store openings to get the latest and greatest items. These "hot item lists" are released by the retailers themselves, such as Toys-R-Us, Walmart and Target. It's not clear why many of these items are "hot," aside from the fact that the chain stores that sell them say so. At one time, the big Christmas item was "Cabbage Patch Kids," and then it was "Tickle Me Elmo," then "Furby," and then the "Nintendo Wii". In 2012, Furby is back -- a furry, owl-like electronic doll that talks. It was popular back in 1998 and sold millions in the late 90's. Hasbro, the manufacturers of Furby, assumed that they could replicate the same big holiday rush sales with the same toy and the same marketing hype. According to Yahoo! Shine's Holiday Gift Guide for parents, "Desperate parents are turning to Amazon.com, where some versions of the $54 toy are selling for $80 or more, and to eBay, where less-popular colors are selling for about $75. The hottest colors come with the highest prices: $1,000 to $2,500 for a single Furby." One of the new features of the 2012 Furby is that is can interact with iPods and iPads -- another electronic gadget that advertisers tell children they need to be hip.

The Furby hype is, of course, a retail trick, designed to fuel children's desires for a new product. This translates into children nagging parents to acquire a new toy.

Spreading "joy with toys" is a major part of what the holidays in America have become -- selling directly to children, without respect to limits, boundaries or even common decency. The result is young children are spending more time absorbing corporate marketing, resulting in shorter attention spans, reduced vocabularies, and less understanding of their local communities.

The only defense against the onslaught of commercializing childhood is for parents to become more aware of the "corporate week" -- that is, their children spending more than 40 hours a week interacting with corporate products. These activities often involve idly sitting and absorbing entertainment with little to no historical or educational value. Children are spending less time reading, writing, studying, and having conversations with friends and family. The "corporate week" does not inspire critical thinking at a level beyond quick, Pavlovian responses. The potential impact on the developing psyche of young children of heavy exposure to the violence and crass humor found in entertainment is disturbing.

While completely shielding a child from the excesses of rampant commercialization isn't easy in our corporate society, there are still ways to protect the essential blessings of childhood. For starters, parents can demand that marketer's respect their children's privacy and set limits as to where and how marketers can direct advertise to young children. (Some action has recently been made in this area.

Beginning July 1, 2013, the FTC will enact new privacy laws to protect children under 13 from having their information collected online. Read the details here.) And then it's up to the parents to turn off the TV, the computer, the cell phones and the iPads, put away the Furbys and the video games, and spend quality time with their children. This means eating family meals together and organizing family outings and activities with real educational and civic values. Consider, for instance, how many children are aware of the public workings of their town? Where does their drinking water come from? How does the local justice system operate? What is made there? For children, the local community is a vast and untapped resource of new information, new understandings, and new perspectives. Many local papers have a listing of community activities suitable for the whole family, such as nature walks, 5K races, book clubs, poetry readings, arts and crafts programs, film festivals, and more. (For D.C. residents, every Friday the Washington Post offers a huge listing of weekend cultural events taking place in the city.) By taking advantage of this nearby resource, making learning fun, and being more alert to the horde of corporate marketers that drive to infiltrate the walled boundaries of our family units, parents can provide better guidance and more enriching experiences for their children.
