Public Records Disclosure #11 The Ongoing Denial of Information

During the correspondence portion of the February 4, 2008 Middleboro BOS Meeting, my request to review Executive Meeting Minutes was discussed.
.
Here's what the law says:
.

Minutes of executive session meetings must be reviewed and released
regularly and promptly. Executive session minutes must be released to the
public as soon as the stated purpose for the executive session protection has
ceased.
.
It's simple.
.
Thumbs down to Chairwoman Brunelle for making a simple explanation unintelligible.
.
Thumbs up to Selectman Perkins for acknowledging that the Board has been remiss, even while he was Chairman.
.
Thumbs down to Selectman Bond for confusing the issue by suggesting that the REQUESTER should pay Town Counsel's hourly rate to review the minutes and make them public.
.
Thumbs up to the Editor of the Middleboro Gazette, Jane Lopes for publicly challenging ANY consideration of charging for making those records public.
