Transport information on links.
‎***"VERY SWEET", "MELLOW" DWARF TUXIE LOVEBUG DUMPED DUE TO LANDLORD!!! PLEASE SAVE TUX!!!*** Seven-year-old tuxedo gentleman TUX was sadly surrendered to the kill-happy ACC due to LANDLORD issues. This darling black & white boy earned rave reviews from his former owner: Tux has lived with other cats & is "very relaxed - sleeps with other animals" , "mellow" around strangers & "Dwarf cat but no problems very sweet"! Sadly, Tux caught the ever-present ACC kitty cold, so he's slated to be killed tomorrow at 6 a.m.! Please don't let this darling dwarf die! Start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt dear TUX from the approved rescue groups! If you can't save TUX yourself, please SHARE his sad story & PLEDGE for his rescue!

DO NOT call the shelter and say you are adopting unless you truly intend on physically going to the shelter to adopt the cat. It ties up phones lines and is a waste of the staff's time to explain the adoption procedure over the phone for someone who is purposely not going to show up. They need every free second of their time to answer calls, assist actual adopters, process intakes, and care for the animals. More importantly, they will note the cats’s file that an adopter is en route which will prevent an actual adopter from saving the cat. This is considered a "fake adoption" hold and that is how animals fall through the cracks and end up being killed.

For more information on a particular cat, email adoption@nycacc.org but ONLY if serious about adopting, and ONLY if you are able to GO TO the shelter in-person. Please do not email for status updates... the only thing you will accomplish is spamming their in boxes and causing REAL adopter emails to go un-noticed. Contact the NYC ACC at (212) 788-4000 for further automated instructions.

It is always a sad occasion when families are torn apart, and it is no less sad when the family to be shredded, is a family of cats. Jenny entered the ACC system due to an owner eviction along with mates Miller (also on tonight's list), Giorgio (euth listed 12/30 -- still alive as far as we know) and John (still available for adoption), and now they must each find their own way in the world. Jenny is on tonight's euth list and stands to die tomorrow because she is afraid -- that's right. A healthy cat is going to be killed because she is afraid. Don't let that happen. Please do all you can to help, tonight.

PLEASE do NOT contact the pound directly unless you can adopt or foster, some of our pounds only have one phone line and in some cases you may be tying up the phone lines and not allowing other adopters or fosters get through. We MUST keep those lines open for adopters wanting information - UOD does NOT support, condone or TOLERATE any of our members calling pounds or rescues to unleash your fury on them...... It's Ok to be angry but BE ANGRY at the PREVIOUS owner who has put this fur baby in this position-
Please Tag and Share it saves Lives- ***********

SCAR Graduate Autumn! How beautiful is she?!?
I adopted Autumn (F/K/A Lola) from SCAR in October, 2011. She sleeps in bed with my 4 year old every night. She also thinks she is a lap dog and will try to sit on anyones lap!
