This is BLUE ID#A002842 Redlands Animal Shelter So. Cal. (909) 798-7644 Blue was shot by the police when they came into his home to arrest his owners in 2009. He came into the shelter and with the help of many people, we raised money and he had surgery to have his leg amputated. He was then adopted by a great family with kids. He has lived with them for 3 1/2 years now, and he was surrendered back to the shelter on 08/27/2013. His family lost their home. He is now about 7 years old. We have to find him something. Please, let's get him a new home to live out the rest of his life. His previous owner said he isn't great with other male dogs. He does not get along w/small dogs/cats either.(possibly okay w/large female dog) Any help is greatly appreciated. The shelter is very full and there are way too many pits right now. Blue is a 7 y/o neutered male, gray Pit Bull Terrier, Tri-Pod. Fees are: $35.00 to Adopt or free transfer to 501(c)3.*** Please note that the *3,000 shares were from when Blue 1st came to us at the shelter after having been shot in his leg. Everyone pulled together and raised funds for his amputation in 2009. He was adopted, and is now back in the shelter, owner surrender due to home loss. ***

YONKERS ANIMAL SHELTER, NY.

SUPER URGENT. The Shelter is moving and will have 13 less runs for the larger dogs and we desperately needs fosters, adopters, rescues to take some of the dogs, like Sparkle!

Gorgeous blue nose seeking love. My name is Sparkle and I'm looking for a family to call my own. I made my way to the shelter over a year ago because I was lost on the streets. I've been loved by all the volunteers and staff but it's time for me to move on....
I would love to be able to take walks and spoon with you on the couch.
I'm picky about dog friends so if you have one and want to adopt me, I would like to meet them first. I'm really not into the cat thing either, sorry.
It's really simple, folks... take me home and I'll love ya forever! Can you bring that sparkle back into my eye?
I'm waiting for you. Please don't make me wait much longer. I can travel out of state to be with you, too.

Most animals in shelters will be euthanized. Most of them were someone's pet, a family member, simply dumped or abandoned, many left at High Kill Shelters. By the time you read this, many will have been euthanized.

If you're considering a furry family members, please consider shelters and rescues first.

Adoption and transportation information available on links or here:
