Bravo, Senator Warren!

Remember last Tuesday, when we told you about Jamie Dimon’s raise from JP Morgan Chase and asked you to choose between his values and Elizabeth Warren’s values? Well look who just went after Dimon in a banking committee hearing: Elizabeth Warren.

At a Banking Committee hearing on the Oversight of Financial Stability and Data Security, she asks the question we all had: “Does anyone on this panel seriously think that the government’s enforcement system for financial crimes is actually working?”

Senator Warren is completely right. Our government is not punishing the Big Banks and their leaders enough for their role in our economic woes. Rather than putting these bankers in jail for their fraudulent and destructive practices that have left millions of families struggling, the government allows them to pay their way out of punishment and continue business as usual. We need more legislators like Senator Warren to stand up for the middle class, and fight for harsher punishments for the Big Banks.
