Petition Statement
WE WILL NOT SHOP AT A MARKET BASKET SOLD TO A CHAIN OR SOME OTHER FACELESS CORPORATE ENTITY, but rather, we will shop at one where Arthur T. Demoulas is allowed to run the company as he has before.
Whatever, the past history between Arthur S. and Arthur T. is of the past. The best way forward for all concerned is to allow Arthur T. to buy the company and return it to the wonderful Market Basket experience; great service, good prices, fresh food, fast checkouts, wonderful (and we understand) well-paid employees.
If not, we will have to find somewhere else to shop.

I don't think the major shareholders understand the
true loyalty we feel toward Market Basket. If they think they can sell the name
and the brand to just anyone, they are wrong and misguided. This petition was
started to show them just how wrong they may be.
