The Truth About Betsy DeVos

Please do your homework about Betsy DeVos and ask questions about her HISTORY in destroying PUBLIC EDUCATION before believing she is qualified.

Betsy DeVos has DESTROYED public education FOR PROFIT!

Please add your name to stand up for all Public School Children!

Betsy DeVos, Trump's pick for Secretary of Education, has spent 20 years threatening our nation's public schools and the futures of the students who depend on them.
Tomorrow at her confirmation hearing, she'll appear in front of the Senate HELP Committee — which includes several Republican members to whom she’s donated significant amounts1 — so they can evaluate whether she is qualified to run the Department of Education. Not only does her nomination pose an enormous conflict of interest, she’s also completely unqualified for the job. Given her utter lack of experience — she’s never been an educator, school administrator, or policymaker – and her record supporting organizations that favor rolling back civil rights, she is the last person who should oversee our nation's schools. Her confirmation hearing has the potential to expose her and her extreme agenda. But we need your help to make that happen.

Tell Your Senator on the Senate HELP Committee to Put DeVos on the Record

Betsy DeVos should be asked tough questions about her qualifications.

TAKE ACTION
DeVos has a history of fighting against women’s rights in education. Over the past 10 years, she's advocated against any oversight of charter schools. She has also bankrolled organizations who want to roll back Title IX, have spread misinformation about abortion and birth control, and preached "conversion therapy" for LGBTQ people.
We have to hold her publicly accountable for these extreme positions.Tell your Senator to use his or her role on the committee to find out the truth about DeVos.
Public education is fundamental to our country's promise of equal opportunity. We need to protect that promise. Our future depends on the success of public schools and the support we provide its students. Do not let the Senate gamble with our future.
Thank you for fighting for the education rights of all women and girls.
Sincerely,
Neena Chaudhry
Director of Education
