Stop the Tea Party Myth!

Social Security and Medicare funded wars fought on the credit card.

They did not contribute to the deficit and it's time to end the Koch-funded Tea Party Myths.

Enough with attacking the poor!

Tax cuts for wealthy moochers created the deficit and we're all suffering as a consequence.

Urge Your U.S. Rep. to Co-sponsor the Cicilline Resolution

Social Security does not contribute to the deficit and should not be included in deficit reduction negotiations. However, certain proposals have called for using the Chained Consumer Price Index (chained CPI) to calculate Social Security cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs). The argument – which the Alliance for Retired Americans strongly disagrees with - is that this a more accurate measure, because it takes into account changes average consumers make in response to changes in prices.

Please do your part to stop the chained CPI from being used as an index by sending a letter to your U.S. House Member.
