Officials announced Sunday that the CapeFlyer service between Boston and Cape Cod will be extended through the Columbus Day holiday, Oct. 14, because of its success so far.
The weekend seasonal service, which was launched on Memorial Day weekend and originally scheduled to end on Labor Day, has carried more than 11,000 passengers so far, according to a press release from state and local transit officials.
The service typically runs round trips between South Station and Hyannis Friday through Sunday.
Trips are $20 one way and $35 round trip. For more information go to www.capeflyer.com.
