REPUBLICAN CYCLE OF ARGUMENT
OBAMA IS DESTROYING AMERICA
Point out that every financial catastrophe; Great Depression, S&L scandal, ENRON, the Collapse of 2007, etc...all happened on Republican watch, following Republican authored deregulation. Point out that the last 3 Republican presidents; Reagan and the Bushs together increased the debt TEN FOLD, from $1 trillion when Reagan took office to $10 trillion when Bush II left office. Make it clear also that the overwhelming majority of the debt increase under Obama was due to paying for the wars Republicans started and never paid for, a drug prescription program they started and never paid for, their tax cuts to the wealthy, and stimulating the economy they collapsed.

Make it known that not only do they wreck our economy but they strip us of our constitutional rights; all Liberal Justices voted AGAINST Citizens United and ALL CONSERVATIVES voted FOR it. CONSERVATIVE Justices ALL voted to forcibly take peoples blood, their DNA, and strip search them even when arrested for minor traffic offenses and all but blood can be taken even if wrongfully arrested. The Conservative argument then shifts to;
BOTH SIDES DO IT
Once you make it clear that all major legislation supportive of the middle class was authored by Democrats; Civil Rights, Voting Rights, Women's Rights, Healthcare Rights, Consumer Rights, etc. And all legislation supportive of corporations was authored or supported ONLY BY REPUBLICANS; Citizens United, ALL legislation to deregulate, tax cuts to corporations and the wealthy; then the argument shifts to;
YOU'RE POINTING FINGERS
At which time you inform them that they were the ones initially pointing the finger. And go further to explain that you are not pointing fingers as they did but rather are pinpointing the source of a problem in order to fix it. At that time there should either be deafening silence or if the Conservative has an extreme case of Conservatosis you can expect them to repeat from the beginning over and over again, without answering any of the facts you've presented, as if the truth was never presented to them.
