DO NOT call the shelter and say you are adopting unless you truly intend on physically going to the shelter to adopt the dog. It ties up phones lines and is a waste of the staff's time to explain the adoption procedure over the phone for someone who is purposely not going to show up. They need every free second of their time to answer calls, assist actual adopters, process intakes, and care for the animals. More importantly, they will note the dog’s file that an adopter is en route which will prevent an actual adopter from saving the dog. This is considered a "fake adoption" hold and that is how dogs fall through the cracks and end up being killed.

She is the spirited little girl, just a six month old puppy who lifts the spirit of other dogs who feel "blue". The other day, we had her play(and she really can play) through a fence with a shut down puppy who seemed to have given up .... Well, Jackie worked all her magic and knowledge of socialization and by the end of their session together, Blaze was one happy young guy...jumping and playbowing... Miracles happen and mostly toward the end of the year... We are hoping for another miracle and blessing:to find a home sweet home for Jackie who is a delicious, petite and delicate female. She has won our hearts. She is sweet, obedient, walks very nicely on the leash and loves to be on her caretaker's lap when she is not playing with her ball.
