Freedom of the press is essential to democracy.

But the Obama administration has been virtually unrepentant ever since news broke that the Justice Department seized the phone records of Associated Press journalists for two months.

Attorney General Eric Holder defended this chilling move against the press. A White House spokesperson tried to finesse the issue. And the president himself has not stepped forward to acknowledge that a serious intrusion on press freedom has occurred.1

Click here to tell President Obama -- as well as your representative and senators -- that such actions are unacceptable.

Our voices need to be heard loud and clear.

Spying on reporters and trying to intimidate whistleblowers is the opposite of transparency. The grim fact is that the Obama administration has prosecuted more whistleblowers than all other administrations put together.2

If we're going to have a government of, by and for the people, then the people must be able to learn about the actions of their government.

Let your voice be heard. Now.
