Ed Krpuczak is an 88-year-old World War II veteran who earned a Purple Heart and four Bronze Stars and recently moved to assisted living in Michigan, leaving behind his 14 year old rescue dog named Buddy. Buddy now needs a new home - can we help this war hero find a loving home for his best friend?
Buddy is looking for a forever home to spend his remaining days
Buddy is a 14 year old rescue dog and has been living alone for the past few months after his mom passed away and his dad moved away to assisted living in Southgate, Michigan. He's now looking for a forever home to spend his remaining days.
Gary Krpuczak says that Buddy can't hear or see too well, but he still gets around and has been a faithful companion to his dad, a World War II veteran. "My father, who had a Purple Heart and four Bronze Stars, he fought with the 45th Infantry Division, U.S. Army," Gary said.
Gary has been caring for Buddy, since his father, Ed, had to move out. Unfortunately, Gary can't take Buddy home with him because his own dog is not dog-friendly. So Buddy has been staying at the family's home, but as the home will be going on the market soon, Gary is hoping to find Buddy a loving home.
Gary said that his 88-year-old dad misses Buddy and worries about him. Gary told Fox Detroit that his dad talks about Buddy all the time and "A few times he has mentioned that he wanted to come home and care for him, but health wise he's really not able to do that."
"Rather than have to have him put down, I'd like somebody out there that would be interested in trying to help him," Gary said. "To me, he's iconic. He belongs to a World War II hero, so-called Detroit's greatest generation, and there must be someone out there that would say, hey, you know what, we're going to take him and do what we can for him."
If you think you can help Buddy, contact Gary at (734) 285-4787 or gary.krupczak@comcast.net.

*warning graphic photos*-This is a story about how a dog was found sealed shut in a plastic bag and left on a desk at the West Valley Animal Shelter. The pups name is Chamsky. He was brought in a SEALED plastic bag and left on the clerk’s counter. When the clerk opened it, thinking it was a delivery package, she saw what she thought was a dead dog. After all, he was BLUE , covered with blood and wounds and not moving! The staff at the shelter resuscitated him and Chamsky now needs our help. ( his abusers were caught and are being charged with animal cruelty )

... Help us save Chamsky. We have partnered with S.A.F.E. Animal Rescue to raise funds for his recovery. We have created the ADOPT DONT SHOP tee dedicated to riasing the donations needed for his care. WIth every tee purchased you can help give Chamsky the second chance at love he deserves.
