BP Can't Hide From Their Criminal Past

"The victims are tired of being called frauds," says Mike Papantonio on BP's treatment of the people whose lives they've ruined with their corrupt and morally bankrupt business practices.

"BP killed 11 oil rig workers in the Gulf of Mexico in an effort to make quick money...Right before that they killed 15 workers and severely injured 160 in one of their Texas refineries from conduct that was so egregious that they had to plead to felonies...

"Between 2007 and 2010, 97% of all the oil industry OSHA heath, safety and death violations – 97% of them – came from BP...nationwide....

"BP has a criminal history that makes the Cosa Nostra look like choirboys..illegal price fixing...illegal dumping of toxins...manslaughter, perjury, lying to Congress, environmental criminality...and it's not just in America, it's all over the globe.

"Their image as criminals has become so bad, that just in the Horizon case they've spent $600 million on Madison Avenue PR to build what they refer to as their 'good guy' image.

"When you've killed more people than John Wayne Gacy, and you had to plead guilty to that slaughter, it's tough to make that image stick, so BP's new approach is to attack their critics. Right now, their angriest, most vocal critics are the victims in the Gulf states."
