*2nd Night on List * please help .Hermes is a young man who is waiting in a small cage for his hero tonight. This velvety 2 year old pit bull mix is slightly thin at 49 pounds and is eating heartily at the ACC. Hermes came in as a stray and may have been on his own for a bit, fending for himself. He has a butterscotch and cream coat that is truly sophisticated in pattern and hue. Imagine wrapping yourself up with Hermes in a big hug! We love Hermes’ white face, accented with tan ears—so open and approachable. This wonderful young man was easy to please upon intake and allowed handling and petting. Hermes is named after the Greek god who represented many things including transitions and boundaries. Our hope is that Hermes can take his name as a good omen and be one of the lucky ones who leaves the ACC . We must act fast because Hermes has been placed on the euthanasia list tonight. The ACC does not wait for anyone, not even a dog named after a Greek god. Hermes will be gone if we don’t intervene. Hermes is a young dog who offers the promise of a long life where he will bestow his new family with the priceless gifts of companionship, loyalty, and tender love. He is healthy and very friendly. Please let’s work together now for Hermes’ release. Let’s do it now because tomorrow he will be gone forever!
