A Massachusetts woman....

...filed a "Petition for Defect Investigation." [Carrie Carvalho of Arlington, Mass, link to article and petition below]

A pretty dull and boring thing really.

Unless you have a vehicle with a defect.....such as mine.

This Massachusetts woman precipitated a Recall of a vehicle to correct BRAKE PROBLEMS!

In her case, the BRAKES engaged at highway speeds.

Oops!

In my case? NO BRAKES!

The dedicated folks at CENTER FOR AUTO SAFETY have written extensively and filed "Petitions for Defect Investigations" on our behalf, unbeknowst to us, attempting to protect all of us.

LIFE IS SIMPLE!

My NEW Toyota, purchased at Route 44 Toyota had NO BRAKES.

How can I drive a NEW vehicle with NO BRAKES?

Really?

And Toyota?

Following in the footsteps of that heroic Massachusetts woman, I filed a "Petition for Defect Investigation."

The reports below are posted on the NHTSA web site, representing 7 accidents, a total of 30 complaints and deserve investigation and correction.

In my experience, most people don't file complaints and the complaints posted on the NHTSA web site may represent  merely a smattering of real life.

NHTSA has heeded my petition and will investigate, maybe they'll save lives.
