I HAVE A 2011 COROLLA LE WHICH HAS 12K MILES ON IT. TILL 12K EVERYTHING WAS FINE AND I LOVED THIS CAR VERY MUCH. WHILE RETURNING FROM A ROAD TRIP (550 MILES ONE WAY) I STARTED NOTICING LOOSING CONTROL ON THE STEERING AND THE VEHICLE STARTED WANDERING ALL OVER THE LANE. I THOUGHT IT WAS DUE TO THE HIGH WINDS ON THAT DAY. BUT I GOT TIRED FREQUENTLY DUE TO THIS AND HAD TO TAKE MANY BREAKS. THEN I TRIED TO REACH SOME TOYOTA DEALER ON THE WAY BUT THEY HAD NO SERVICE DUE TO EASTER SUNDAY. SOMEHOW I MANAGED TO REACH BACK TO MY HOME. IT WAS REALLY A DANGEROUS DRIVE ESPECIALLY WHEN HUGE TRUCKS WERE PASSING BY. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER ON THE NEXT DAY. THEY TOOK THE CAR AND TOLD ME THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. I COULDN'T AGREE TO THEM. I TOOK THE CAR AND AGAIN NOTICED THE PROBLEM ON HIGH WAYS. AFTER A WEEK I TOOK THE CAR AGAIN TO THE SAME DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY VERIFIED THE CAR WITH DIFFERENT SET OF DRIVERS AND COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE STEERING. I CALLED UP TOYOTA AND REGISTERED A COMPLAINT. BUT THEY SAID WITHOUT REPORT FROM THE DEALER THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO ANOTHER DEALER. THEY ALSO REPEATED THE SAME AS NO PROBLEM WITH THE CAR. NOW I AM NOT SURE WHAT SHOULD I DO TO GET THIS PROBLEM SOLVED. I REALLY FEEL THAT SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE STEERING AND I AM LOOSING CONTROL. STEERING FEELS MUCH LIGHTER AND LOOSER THAN BEFORE AND I FEEL IT IS DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY ON HIGHWAYS.

I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY IN CRUISE CONTROL SET TO 75MPH, WHILE ON AN INCLINE, EITHER APPROACHING THE HILL DOWN/UP THE VEHICLE BEGIN TO VIOLENTLY JERK BACK AND FORTH (BUMPER TO BUMPER). I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP ON WEDNESDAY 06 FEB 2013, ISSUE WAS NOT RESOLVED AND I WAS ACCUSED OF WASTING THEIR TIME. MAINTENANCE MANAGER DIDN'T ATTEMPT TO RECREATE ISSUE I EXPERIENCED ON AN INCLINE, BUT INSTEAD TEST DROVE IT ON A FLAT SURFACE ABOUT 2 MILES, THE MAINTENANCE TEAM CHECKED THE FLUIDS AND COMPUTER.. STATED ON MAINTENANCE SLIP THAT MY TRANSMISSION FLUID IS DISCOLORED AND WOULD NEED TO BE FLUSHED SOON, COMPUTER HAD NO ERROR CODES. AFTER I WAS VERBALLY BERATED BY THE MAINTENANCE MANAGER, I EXPLAINED THAT I WOULD INSTALL A VIDEO CAMERA IN MY VEHICLE TO RECORD THE EVENTS I WAS EXPERIENCING, UPON ASKING IF I RECORDED THE ISSUE, WOULD THEY THEN TAKE ACTION AND REPAIR MY VEHICLE, I WAS LAUGHED AT AND ESSENTIALLY TOLD THAT THEY WOULD FIND A WAY TO MAKE SURE THAT TOYOTA WAS NOT AT FAULT. I WAS TOLD BY ANOTHER DEALERSHIP OUT-OF-STATE, THAT FLUID SHOULD NOT BE DISCOLORED UNDER 65K MILES AND THAT THERE WAS AN OBVIOUS ISSUE. 2011 TOYOTA COROLLA: HAVE HAD CAR ALIGNED 2 TIMES DUE TO EXCESSIVE PULLING TO THE RIGHT, THEREFORE TIRES HAVE WORN UNEVENLY AND NOW NEED TO BE REPLACED AT 17,000 MILES. THE EDGES OF THE TIRES WORE OUT BEFORE 11,000 MILES. I ADDRESSED THE ISSUE TO THE DEALERSHIP, WHO AT FIRST TOLD ME I HAD TO PAY FOR THE ALIGNMENT; THEN I WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE ALIGNED UNDER WARRANTY. IT HAD TO BE ALIGNED A SCOND TIME DUE TO CONTINUOUS PULLING TO THE RIGHT. THE DEALERSHIP SAYS I HAVE TO PAY FOR TIRES OUT-OF-POCKET, EVEN THOUGH I THINK TOYOTA SHOULD AT LEAST PRO-RATE A NEW SET OF TIRES. SECOND ISSUE IS THE ENGINE RUNNING ROUGH AND UNEVENLY. IT IDLES ROUGH, AND SINCE I PAID TO HAVE THE INJECTORS CLEANED, IT GETS WORSE GAS MILEAGE THAN EVER. I NOW HAVE THE CAR IN THE DEALERSHIP SHOP AGAIN TO FIX THE IDLE. THEY JUST CALLED AND SAID THE Y HAD TO REPLACE AND RESET THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE. I EXPECTED THE CAR TO PERFORM BETTER AND TIRES TO LAST MORE THAN A YEAR, AS I PURCHASED THE CAR DEC. 2012. *TR

APPROX. A WEEK AFTER THIS VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED IT WAS INVOLVED IN A CRASH ON 08/29/2011. THIS VEHICLE WAS CRASHED DUE TO AN HIGHER THAN USUAL REV WHICH DELAYS THE TIME FOR A VEHICLE TO COME TO A STOP. THE REV ON THIS VEHICLE DOES NOT DECLINE SOMETIMES WHEN RELEASING THE ACCELERATOR. THE VEHICLE CAME WITH TOYOTA CAR SO I HAVE WENT TO THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP MANY TIMES TO HAVE A MULTI POINT INSPECTION AND THEY SAID EVERYTHING WAS PERFECTLY FINE. THEY WERE UNABLE TO "DUPLICATE" THE ISSUE. FEELING LIKE THERE IS NOTHING I COULD DO I GAVE UP AND JUST CONTINUED TO DRIVE IT WITH EXTRA CAUTION AND MAKE PAYMENTS ON MY LEASE TILL THE TERM WAS OVER. ABOUT A YEAR LATER AT 11,000 ON MY RECENT SERVICE VISIT THE TOYOTA MECHANIC TOLD ME I NEEDED NEW BRAKES. HE STATED THAT THIS WAS UNUSUAL AT THIS MILEAGE AND BRAKES SHOULD BE FINE, BUT ON MY CAR THE BRAKES WERE COMPLETELY GONE. NOW I HAVE ABOUT 12,800 MILES, AND THE ENGINE REVVING IS STARTING TO INTERFERE WITH MY ABILITY TO CONTROL THE SPEED OF MY VEHICLE. THE EXCESSIVE ENGINE REV IS THE CULPRIT THAT CAUSES MY BRAKES BEING USED HEAVILY. AFTER I RELEASE THE ACCELERATOR THE CAR CONTINUES TO ACCELERATE AND THE BRAKE HAS TO WORK EXTRA HARD TO STOP THE CAR. I HAVE CONTACTED SOUTH EAST TOYOTA FINANCE AND THEY JUST EMPATHIZED WITH MY SITUATION. WHEN I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP THE MECHANIC TOOK THREE HOURS TO LOOK AT THE CAR AND REFERRED ME TO A SALES REPRESENTATIVE WHO TRIED TO SELL ME A NEW 2013 TOYOTA COROLLA TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. I REFUSED TO BUY A NEW CAR AND LEFT THE DEALERSHIP. I AM NOT AN MECHANIC BUT I SUSPECT IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE COMPUTER THAT CONTROLLING THE SPEED, WHICH IS CAUSING MY SPEED TO NOT DECREASE. I AM WRITING TO REPORT AN ELECTRIC POWER STEERING SAFETY DEFECT WITH MY 2011 TOYOTA COROLLA LE. I PURCHASED THE CAR NEW AND NOTICED, DURING MY FIRST TRIP ON THE INTERSTATE HIGHWAY, IT WAS DIFFICULT TO MAINTAIN CENTER LANE BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WOULD DRIFT FROM SIDE TO SIDE AND THE FASTER THE VEHICLE SPEED THE MORE PRONOUNCED THE DRIFT BECAME. ROAD SMOOTHNESS DID NOT SEEM TO MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE. I ASSUMED THAT SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST VEHICLE WITH ELECTRIC POWER STEERING IT MUST JUST TAKE ME SOME GETTING ACCUSTOMED TO DRIVING IT. HAVING DRIVEN IT FOR 18 MONTHS, IN VARIED WEATHER AND ROAD CONDITIONS, I AM NOW CONVINCED IT IS A SAFETY DEFECT AS IT CAUSES ME MUCH FATIGUE TO DRIVE IT AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS FOR MORE THAN APPROXIMATELY 45 MINUTES DUE TO CONSTANT STEERING INPUTS REQUIRED JUST TO KEEP THE VEHICLE IN THE LANE. ON 3 DECEMBER 2012 I PRESENTED THE VEHICLE TO MY TOYOTA DEALER FOR WARRANTY REPAIR AND WAS DENIED FOR THE FOLLOWING REASON "TEST DROVE VEHICLE. HIGH WINDS AND POOR STREET CONDITIONS SEEM TO HAVE MORE AFFECT ON SMALLER VEHICLES THAN LARGER HEAVIER ONES. CHECKED ALIGNMENT IN SPEC AND TIRE PRESSURES ARE GOOD AS WELL." I RECENTLY TOOK A TRIP FROM THE SOUTH TO THE MID WEST. THE ROADS ARE MUCH STRAIGHTER AND THE SPEED LIMIT IS HIGHER. I HAD BEEN NOTICING THAT THE CAR DRIFTS BACK AND FORTH ON THE HIGHWAY BUT HADN'T PAID IT MUCH ATTENTION UNTIL WE WENT NORTH. WHILE DOING 70-75MPH DOWN THE HIGHWAYS THAT ARE STRAIGHT FOREVER THE CAR WAS INCREDIBLY HARD TO KEEP STRAIGHT. WHEN I GOT HOME IT WAS DUE FOR REGULAR SERVICE AND I ADDRESSED MY CONCERN WITH THE STEERING. THEY "DID" AN ALIGNMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP, AFTER I PICKED UP MY CAR AND TOOK IT ON THE HIGHWAY 24 HRS LATER I NOTICED MY STEERING WHEEL WAS NOT STRAIGHT. THE "T" TOYOTA SYMBOL ON THE WHEEL HAD TO BE SLANTED TO THE LEFT IN ORDER FOR THE CAR TO DRIVE STRAIGHT. IF YOU HELD THE WHEEL STRAIGHT THE CAR WAS DRIVING OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO THE RIGHT! THE DRIFTING SIDE TO SIDE WAS WORSE THAN EVER!!!!! I HAVE SINCE TAKEN MY COROLLA TO THE SAME DEALERSHIP ABOUT 5 TIMES NOW (ALTHOUGH THEY HAVEN'T PROPERLY RECORDED THAT IN THE COMPUTER, THEY SHOW ITS ONLY BEEN ABOUT 3), TAKEN THE LEAD SERVICE TECH AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP FOR A RIDE IN MY CAR AND THEY COMPLETELY AGREED WITH ME THAT THE STEERING WHEEL WAS OFF, NOTICEABLY! THEY HELD MY CAR FOR A WEEK AND REPLACED THE "STEERING COMPUTER" AND SAID THAT SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY DROVE IT AFTER IT WAS "FIXED" AND RETURNED THE CAR TO ME. I THEN DROVE IT DOWN THE HIGHWAY ABOUT 30 MIN LATER AND IT IS STILL FREAKING CROOKED!!!!!! TOYOTA CORP AND THE PEOPLE AT THE DEALERSHIP ARE MAKING ME FEEL LIKE I'M CRAZY AND THAT ITS NORMAL! I TOOK IT IN TO THE DEALER AND THEY HAD JUST RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM TOYOTA,IT RECOMMENDED IT BE FLASHED TO STOP WHAT THEY SAID WAS A MISS FIRE, THIS WAS DONE ON 12/05/11. I DROVE IT HOME IT STARTED DOING IT AGAIN,SO I TOOK IT BACK IN THEY REFLASHED IT SAID THAT IT WOULD BE ALRIGHT. WHEN I TEST DROVE THIS COROLLA, TOOK IT ON THE HIGHWAY BUT ONLY GOT TO A SPEED OF ABOUT 65 MPH BECAUSE WE GOT ON ONE ENTRANCE AND OFF AT THE NEXT EXIT. SHORT HIGHWAY DRIVE. AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, I TOOK AT 150 MILE TRIP TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN FROM WHERE I LIVE. THE CAR FELT LIKE IT WAS FIGHTING THROUGH A WINDY DAY (THERE WAS NO WIND) AND THE CAR WAS ALL OVER THE ROAD. I WAS SO TIRED BY THE TIME I GOT TO MY DESTINATION! I TOOK THE CAR TO MY DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME THERE WERE NO BULLETINS ARE RECALLS FOR THIS PROBLEM. THEY SAID I WOULD HAVE TO GET USED TO IT. TRUCKS PASSING BY DO NOT APPEAR TO GREATLY EFFECT STEERING. WIND WAS NOT AN ISSUE. THIS, NOT A LOOSENESS BUT RATHER INACCURATE STEERING, CAUSES A WANDERING WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS AS THE CAR WILL WANDER INTO ANOTHER LANE OR OFF THE ROAD INTO A POTENTIAL CRASH. THE DRIVER IS 57, WITH 200-300K MILES DRIVING EXPERIENCE IN MERCEDES TO BMW TO VOLVOS TO GM TO OTHER TOYOTAS TO FORD CARS - W/O AN ACCIDENT. THIS IS A REAL AND SERIOUS PROBLEM WHICH MAY CAUSE DEATHS. THERE APPEARS TO BE LITTLE CONTROL BETWEEN THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE STEERING. THE TIRES HAVE THE PROPER AIR PRESSURE (GOODYEAR). I REPEAT, THIS IS THE MOST DANGEROUS NEW CAR I HAVE DRIVEN SINCE 1968. THAT'S PROBLEM #1. PROBLEM #2, A LESSER PROBLEM BUT ALSO RIDICULOUS.. IS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. YOU CANNOT KEEP THE SPEED CONSTANT AT 45-50 MPH. HOLDING THE ACCELERATOR STEADY THE ENGINE SPEED, AS SHOWN IN THE TACHOMETER ,WILDLY JUMPS UP AND DOWN AT WILL, INTERMITTENTLY, RPM GOING FROM 1600 TO 2200. IF YOU HOLD STEADY IT DROPS TO 1600, IF YOU THEN DEPRESS THE PEDAL THE SMALLEST POSSINE ABOUT, IT JUMPS TO 2200, THEN BACK TO 1600. OTHER TIMES THE SAME ACTION WORKS AS YOU WOULD EXPECT A LINEAR PRESS ON THE ACCELERATOR WOULD COMMAND A LINEAR INCREASE IN SPEED. SINCE LEASING THIS BRAND NEW 2011 COROLLA, I NOTICED THAT AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 40MPH AND 60MPH THE CAR WOULD FEEL AS IF IT WAS DECELERATING, AKIN TO BEING BUFFETED BY STRONG HEADWINDS, ALTHOUGH THE SPEED DID NOT REFLECT IT. I DRIVE MOSTLY AROUND A CITY THAT HAS MANY ZONES WHERE THE SPEED LIMIT IS 40MPH, SO I WAS EXPERIENCING THIS PHENOMENON A LOT. BY THE TIME I HAD 250 MILES ON THE CAR, I KNEW THAT IT WAS NOT JUST A QUIRK, AND I MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO TAKE THE CAR TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP. THE PERSON WHO BOOKED ME IN FOR SERVICE SAID THAT HE HAD NEVER HEARD ABOUT THIS ISSUE, BUT I HAD DONE SOME RESEARCH AND SAW THAT MANY 2011 COROLLA OWNERS ARE COMPLAINING OF THE SAME PROBLEM. I TOLD HIM TO CHECK ONLINE. I ALSO COMPLAINED ABOUT APPALLING MILEAGE - I WAS AVERAGING LESS THAN 20MPG - AND HE SAID THAT HE WOULD GET THEIR TECHNICIANS TO FOCUS ON THE TWO ISSUES. WITHIN 30 MINUTES HE WAS BACK TO SAY THAT NOT ONLY HAD HE FOUND THE DECELERATION ISSUE ONLINE, HE FOUND IT ON TOYOTA'S OWN SERVICE WEBSITE, AND HE TOLD ME THAT THE COMPANY HAD ISSUED AN OFFICIAL SERVICE BULLETIN. IT IS NOT SHOWING THAT ONE WAS ISSUED ON THIS SITE, BUT I HAVE SEEN IT, AND THE DEALERSHIP WERE ABLE TO REPROGRAM THE CAR'S COMPUTER (THEY CALLED IT A "FLASH"). THE CONCLUSION WAS THAT THE POOR GAS MILEAGE WAS BEING CAUSED BY THE MISTIMING, AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED BY THE SOFTWARE UPDATE. FOLLOWING A TRACTOR TRAILER ON THE INTERSTATE WILL FEEL LIKE SOMEONE IS SHAKING YOU IN YOUR SEAT. SOME TURBULENCE ARE EXPECTED BUT THIS IS OVERWHELMING. BEING PUSHED FROM CENTER LINE TO SIDE LINE WILL MAKE YOU NERVOUS TRYING TO HANG ON. IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON TAKING A TRIP, BE PREPARED TO FIGHT THE STEERING WHEEL THE ENTIRE TIME. I PURCHASED MY 2011 TOYOTA S MODEL ON JULY 4TH 2011. ON THE DRIVE HOME I NOTICED A DRAGGING FEELING BUT THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS ME AT FIRST GETTING USED TO THE CAR. BUT ON A DAILY BASIS THE CAR WOULD RANDOMLY PULL BACK, SO I STARTED TO PAY ATTENTION AND NOTICED THAT PRETTY RANDOMLY BUT MOSTLY BETWEEN 40 -60 MPH THE CAR RPM'S WOULD DROP ANYWHERE BETWEEN 200-600 RPM'S (QUICK JUMP DOWN) AND THEN BACK UP CAUSING THE CAR TO DRAG AS IF THE BRAKE WAS APPLIED. THIS IS GOING ON A LEVEL ROAD AT A CONSTANT SPEED - THIS IS NOT NORMAL AN DOESN'T FEEL SAFE. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY COULDN'T FIND THE PROBLEM (SURPRISE, SURPRISE)! I TOLD THEM THERE WAS DEFINITELY A PROBLEM AND I DIDN'T FEEL COMFORTABLE DRIVING MY KIDS AROUND IN IT. THEY ASKED ME TO COME BACK AND TEST DRIVE WITH THE TECHNICIAN WHICH I DID. THE TECH NOTICED AND FELT THE PROBLEM- THEY KEPT THE CAR FOR ABOUT 1 WEEK AND CALLED ME BACK AND SAID TOYOTA KNOWS OF THIS PROBLEM AND IS DILIGENTLY WORKING ON IT THAT IT HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH A FLASH DRIVE BUT THAT TOYOTA WAS BEING EVASIVE ON THEIR ANSWERS. I CALLED THE DEALER BACK ABOUT 2 WEEKS LATER AND THEY DID NOT RESPOND TO ME. THIS CAR IS SO ANNOYING TO DRIVE AND DOESN'T FEEL SAFE AT ALL. I CALLED TOYOTA CORPORATE AND FILED ANOTHER CLAIM AND WAS TOLD I WOULD BE CONTACTED IN 48 HOURS- THIS DID NOT HAPPEN. I NOTICED THAT ALWAYS AROUND 40 MPH THE ENGINE ALMOST STOPS AS IF I WERE DRIVING STANDARD SHIFT (WHICH I AM NOT) & SOMEONE DOWNSHIFTED INTO ANOTHER GEAR, OR IF THE SPEED CONTROL WAS ON (NEVER USE IT) & IT CAME OUT OF THE SET SPEED.. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED I KIND OF IGNORED IT BUT THEN WHEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN. I STOPPED AT THE DEALER GETTEL TOYOTA WHERE I PICKED UP THIS LEASE CAR & THE PERSON IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLD ME "NOT TO WORRY ABOUT IT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS GETTING USED TO MY DRIVING HABITS & THAT IF SOMETHING WERE WRONG ENGINE/DASH LIGHTS WOULD GO ON" (PP).. SO I WENT MY WAY KEEPING HIS WORDS IN MIND.. THIS PROBLEM STILL EXISTS WITH 1000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER & WHILE I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT IT I DIDN'T RAISE ANY RED FLAGS UNTIL NOW I SEE I AM NOT THE ONLY TOYOTA COROLLA OWNER HAVING THIS ISSUE WHICH LEADS ME TO THINK ITS ANOTHER "TOYOTA DESIGN FLAW".. I LEARNED THAT TERM "DESIGN FLAW" FROM TOYOTA WHEN I HAD MY 2007 COROLLA & FILED MANY LEMON LAW COMPLAINTS ON IT & TOYOTA WOULD REPEAT THOSE WORDS IN THEIR RESPONSES SINCE TOYOTA DOESN'T PARTICIPATE IN LEMON LAW NEGOTIATIONS THEY TOLD ME.. ACCORDINGLY, THE RPM WAS FOUND TO BE FLUCTUATED BETWEEN 100-400RPM DROPPING INSTANTLY (1-2S). IT HAPPENED A LOT. SUBSEQUENTLY, THE DEALER SERVICE TECHNICIANS DUPLICATED MY CONCERN (SUDDEN PULL-BACK). THEY EVEN FOUND THE PULL-BACK (OR RPM DROPS DOWN SUDDENLY) IN CRUISE CONTROL AT 60 MILES. THEN THEY OPENED THE CASE AND GOT THE FIELD TECHNICAL SPECIALISTS CHECK THIS PROBLEM. IT TAKES ONE WEEK AND THE REPORT SAID THAT "OTHER VEHICLES ARE CHECKED AND SAME THINGS OBSERVED. THIS VEHICLE WAS OPERATED AS DESIGNED AND NO REPAIR NECESSARY." BUT THE WEIRD THING IS THAT THE SERVICE MANAGER (HE IS THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS COMMUNICATED BETWEEN THESE SPECIALISTS AND ME) THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY ALSO THINK SOMETHING WAS WRONG (POSSIBLE SOFTWARE). THEY OFFERED ME A COUPLES OF MONTH PAYMENT CREDIT (700-1000$). AND THEY TOLD THE SERVICE MANAGER THAT THEY CAN'T FIX IT AND HAVE TO HAVE THAT DONE IN JAPAN. IT TAKES A WHILE. AROUND 250-300 MILES I WENT OVER A DIP IN THE ROAD AT ABOUT 40 MPH AND WENT TO HIT THE BRAKES WHILE TAKING A TURN THAT WAS APPROACHING A STOPLIGHT WHEN THE BRAKES WOULD NOT LET ME PUSH THEM DOWN AND WOULD GIVE ME FEEDBACK AS IF ABS WAS ACTIVE. AFTER A COUPLE SECONDS I WAS ABLE TO REAPPLY PRESSURE TO THE BRAKES TO STOP. THIS HAPPENED A TOTAL OF EIGHT TIMES IN 2,100 MILES. THE CAR HAS BEEN IN SOME CLOSE CALLS, AND ALL THE INCIDENTS HAPPENED AFTER HITTING A DIP WHILE TRYING TO REDUCE MY SPEED FROM OVER 50 MPH TO THE TIME OF HITTING THE DIPS. IT FEELS LIKE ABS IS ACTIVATING, AND IN TURN NOT ALLOWING ME TO APPLY PRESSURE TO THE BRAKES. ANOTHER INCIDENT HAPPENED AS I WAS GOING DOWN THE FREEWAY APPROACHING TRAFFIC AND I WENT OVER A DIP ON THE FREEWAY AND THE BRAKES WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO STOP FOR ABOUT A COUPLE OF SECONDS. I REGAINED BRAKES WITH ENOUGH TIME TO MAKE A STOP, BUT I WOULD SAY IT WAS A SAFE STOP. I HAD ANOTHER INCIDENT WHERE THE BRAKES FAILED AS I WAS EXITING A FREEWAY AND I WOULD NOT APPLY MY BRAKES FOR THE FIRST TURN, AND I COULD ONLY APPLY PRESSURE TO THE BRAKES AFTER I STARTED TO ENTER THE SECOND TURN COMING WITHIN INCHES OF COLLIDING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME.
