Congressman Jim McGovern: Join me at the Roosevelt Dinner in Boston!

During these challenging times, it’s even more important that we come together to support one another and work hand in hand toward the progressive future we envision.
On Wednesday, May 31, I hope you will join me at the Massachusetts Democratic Party’s Roosevelt Awards Dinner. I am excited to share this evening with Eleanor Roosevelt Award recipient Boston City Council President Michelle Wu.
It is truly an honor and a privilege to be named the recipient of the Franklin D. Roosevelt Award. The foundation of the modern Democratic Party was built by the vision of President Roosevelt - put simply, we believe that no one in this country should be left out or left behind. This foundation supported efforts of future Democratic presidents to build upon FDR’s successes.
Today, every tenet that President Roosevelt fought for and we as Democrats hold dear is under attack — from health care to the promise of Social Security to the basic needs of enough food to feed your family — Democrats throughout the country need to come together to fight back. We cannot take any state for granted, including here in the Commonwealth. That’s why I hope you’ll join us on Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Omni Parker House in Boston.
Thank you for always being there for me. I’m ready for this fight and I know you are too. Together, we will continue to fight for what is fair and just.
Best,
Jim
