VoteVets.org: [AHCA] These veterans would lose everything

VoteVets

When the U.S. Senate votes to repeal the Affordable Care Act, Senator Jeff Flake of Arizona will be one of the Senators to watch. He should meet Jim Tracey, one of his constituents from Tucson. Jim served in Vietnam as a member of the U.S. Army, and he wrote to us:
"The ACA has been a lifesaver. I've had cancer and if it weren't for the Affordable Care Act, I likely would be dead or deathly ill with no insurance."
Or a veteran family from Scottsdale whose daughter was covered under their policy because of the provision that keeps children covered up to age 26.
"Our daughter was fresh out of college and still working a job with no benefits when she was in a motorcycle accident that was not her fault. Without her being on our insurance under the ACA rules, we would have lost everything."
When I tell you we have HUNDREDS of stories like this from veterans across the country -- some impacted themselves, some concerning their dearest loves ones -- I am not lying. And over the course of the next few weeks, we are going to make sure they get heard online, on tv, and in person. But we can't do it without you.

The strength of this organization comes from the people who power VoteVets. Whether it's the veterans and military family members whose stories are first in everything we do, or the small-dollar donors who fund our work ... whatever we accomplish, it's because we've done it together. That's why your donation matters so much.

All my best,
Will Fischer
