Great Lakes Medieval Faire in Ohio: Urge this fair not to exploit the suffering elephant Nosey

PETA

ACTION ALERT

"...He has been cited for nearly 200 violations of the federal Animal Welfare Act, most of which have been related to his mistreatment of Nosey--from withholding food in order to "train" her to shackling her in chains so short that she could barely take a single step. An elephant expert has characterized her case as "the worst, most prolonged, documented example of an uncorrected case of suffering and abuse in an elephant I have ever reviewed."

Venues across the country have chosen not to use Nosey after learning of her intense suffering. Please consider these facts carefully and, at least, require that the scheduled performance of this circus go forward without her. Also, I urge you to commit to hosting only animal-free entertainment in the future. Thank you for your consideration...."

The Great Lakes Medieval Faire in Ohio, scheduled to run weekends from July 8 through August 13, is hosting the Great American Family Circus, and its owner, Hugo Liebel, is sure to bring the suffering elephant Nosey again. We need your help to let this fair know about Liebel's long history of animal mistreatment, public endangerment, and disregarding Nosey's welfare.

Please urge the fair to cancel Nosey's appearance and to allow only animal-free entertainment from now on.
Thank you for your compassion for animals.

Sincerely,

John Di Leonardo Siganture
