Trump Goes Off On 3:37AM Rant About Stripping Americans Of Healthcare

Before the Affordable Care Act, President Obama’s signature achievement in 2009, about45,000 American’s per year died because they didn’t not have medical insurance. At most risk, in fact a 40 percent higher risk, were the folks that Donald Trump promised to represent most on the campaign trail: uninsured working-class Americans.
That promise has, apparently, fallen to the wayside. Trump is tired of not winning the healthcare fight after Republicans, who cried foul and have had nearly eight years to devise a plan that the people would prefer over the ACA, have been unable to come up with a plan anyone can support. In his frustration, Trump tweeted the following in the wee morning hours of Friday.
That’s right, Trump would like to take insurance away from the millions of Americans who rely on either plans through the ACA exchange or the expanded Medicaid programs that allow them to access doctors, receive life-saving medications, and keep their children healthy and alive. 45,000 Americans per year would die, but Trump would stop getting shown up by Congress.
For those keeping score, about 17 Americans per year die worldwide in terrorist attacks, but Trump says we need a Muslim ban to save lives and keep us safe. We need a border wall to protect us from undocumented immigrants who do not commit violent crimes anymore often than native-born American citizens do, because a border wall will save lives and keep us safe. 45,000 people dying without healthcare, though? No big deal, as long as Trump gets a win.
Twitter users were understandably stunned and outraged over the tweet.
